π€ THANK YOU, WARRAGUL. Thank you to every single person who walked through the doors of the Warragul Leisure Centre this season. Every person who bought a membership, grabbed a ticket, wore a scarf, bought a pair of socks, cheered from the stands or followed along online. You made this season something truly special.
Our 2026 campaign came to an end on Saturday night against a strong Sherbrooke side in the Semi Final. We're proud of every moment. π€
Thank you to our sponsors β SJD Homes, Warragul Physiotherapy and Voyage Fitness Warragul β whose support made Big V basketball in Warragul possible.
Thank you to Ben Gaze, James Portbury and Michael Bridgman for building and leading this group with everything they had.
And thank you to our players. Every single one of them. This group gave Warragul something to be genuinely proud of. π€
We came back to Big V Basketball after an extended absence. We won our first home game. We went on a six-game winning streak. We made finals. We won an Elimination Final. We played in a Semi Final.
Year one. What a ride. π€
We'll see you in 2027. ππ€β€οΈ

SEMI FINAL GAME DAY. TONIGHT. IT'S ALL ON THE LINE. This graphic says everything about this season. π€
James Magrath β the Warrior whose season was cruelly cut short by an ACL injury earlier this year. A player who was ready to give everything for this club before his season ended too soon.
Murray Myers β the Warrior who answered the call. Stepped in, trained hard, competed harder and has been part of every win since.
Tonight both of their names are on this team. Both of their stories are part of this run. And tonight we play for all of them. πͺπ€
This is what looks like.

π BEFORE WE TALK ABOUT TOMORROW NIGHT β THIS. The Warragul Warriors are proud to announce that Ben Gaze has been re-appointed as Head Coach of the Warragul Warriors Big V Basketball Men's program for 2027. π€β€οΈ
And it gets better. Ben has been nominated for Big V Division Two Men Coach of the Year for 2026. A nomination that nobody in this club would argue with for a single second. π
Think about what Ben has built this season. A group that came back to Big V after an extended absence, found their feet, went on a six-game winning streak, finished fourth on the ladder and are now β on the eve of a Semi Final β one win away from a Grand Final.
That doesn't happen without outstanding leadership, preparation and belief. That's Ben Gaze. π€
Congratulations, Ben. From every player, every staff member and every Warriors fan who packed the Leisure Centre this season β thank you. We're proud to have you back for 2027.
Now β there's a Semi Final to win tomorrow night. π€π
