It was great to see such a strong turnout, plenty of energy and, most importantly, everyone getting stuck in and putting in the work ahead of the season.

HISTORY WAS MADE AT THE SWANS! 🦢

Five years ago, the Warnbro Swans Cricket Club achieved something that had been dreamed about for years…
👑OUR FIRST EVER A GRADE PREMIERSHIP! 🏆

The boys headed into the Wyllie Cup Grand Final against Halls Head knowing they had the opportunity to create history — and they certainly didn't disappoint.
Halls Head won the toss and elected to bat first, but from the opening ball the Swans showed exactly what they were made of.
The bowling attack was disciplined, the fielding was sharp and the pressure never let up. Halls Head were restricted to 116 all out, giving the Swans a huge opportunity to finish the job.
And finish it they did.
🏏 Nathan Wakefield got the chase underway with a valuable 29, before Dane Ugle took control of the innings with a brilliant unbeaten 57.
He was joined by Keren Ugle, who calmly guided the Swans home with an unbeaten 27.
The Swans finished 1/117 from just 27.3 overs, securing a magnificent 9-wicket victory.
But this wasn't just another win.

🏆 THIS WAS HISTORY.
After years of hard work, countless training sessions, tough losses and plenty of people putting in the work behind the scenes, the Warnbro Swans A Grade had finally secured its first-ever premiership.
From the players on the field, to the coaches, volunteers, committee members, supporters, families and everyone who had contributed to building the club — this premiership belonged to all of you.

💜💛 Five years on, the memories are still just as special.
The celebrations.
The smiles.
The mateship.
The feeling of lifting that trophy.
And knowing that you were the group who finally put the first A Grade premiership on the Warnbro Swans honour board.

Reece Sweetman has been a proud Swanny for over 25 years, and is the true definition of the Swanny spirit.

Throughout his incredible journey with the club, Reece has helped deliver multiple premierships, played over 400 games, and become the leading run scorer in Warnbro Swans history, with an amazing 8,000+ runs to his name.

But Reece’s contribution goes far beyond his own achievements. He has played a huge role in guiding countless young cricketers, helping them develop their skills and passion for the game while always leading by example.

A Life Member, a club legend and someone who embodies everything the Warnbro Swans stands for.

And to make it even more special, Reece continues to take the field alongside his brother Keith, who is also a Swans Life Member. 🦢💜💛

A true Swanny through and through.

Dan "Rowie" Rowe

Rowie has been a proud Swanny for over two decades, building an impressive list of achievements along the way.

Rowie has been part of multiple junior and senior premierships, including back-to-back
Under 17s premierships and, most importantly, being a member of our inaugural A Grade Premiership team! 🏆

Off the field, Rowie is an absolute top bloke. He loves a beer, and win, lose or draw, you’ll always find him there supporting his mates and the club.
He currently plays alongside his brother Gavin, and proudly continues the Rowe family connection at the Swans, following in the footsteps of his dad and Life Member, Terry Rowe.

Joel Shelley has been a proud part of the Warnbro Swans for the past six years.
Joel is a bloke who is all heart — super kind, friendly and always willing to have a laugh and help out his mates.
He loves his cricket, loves being around the club, and of course, he’s always happy to enjoy a cold jacks can after the game! 🍻

JASON "SKIP" WAKEFIELD

Jason has been a proud Swanny for many years, both as a player and a coach. As a cricketer, he has taken plenty of wickets, scored plenty of runs and even managed to bring up a century for the club.
As a coach, Jason has helped develop many players and coached several teams to premiership success.
Away from the field, Jason is a loving dad to Brody, who has followed in his footsteps from junior cricket through to seniors. Their shared love of cricket and the Swans is something pretty special.
Jason now continues to give back as our Senior Vice President, helping make the club what it is today.

Chris Barbara has been a valued part of the Warnbro Swans for over a decade and is a true clubman who leads by example both on and off the field.

With multiple centuries to his name and countless wickets taken, Chris has made a huge impact with both bat and ball, as well as bringing plenty of energy to the field.
But Chris isn’t just about the cricket — he’s a great bloke and always up for a laugh, bringing fun wherever he goes.
He’s also a proud dad to Lachlan, who is following in his footsteps and playing for the Swans, continuing that family connection with the club.
Chris, thank you for everything you do for the Warnbro Swans. You’re a legend of the club, and we’re lucky to have you as part of the Swanny family!

Not only does Rick bring a wealth of knowledge to pass on he hits 100’s for fun.
