Geronimo Fitness
Personal training business Hi everyone. My name is Celia. This is my business page for Geronimo fitness. It keeps things balanced, challenging and varied.
As a child I grew up in a sports mad home where all 7 of us played a sport, namely basketball. After settling down to get married and adding 3 gorgeous children, I gained a lot of weight. After finally achieving some fitness and weight loss goals, after years of trying, I decided that I would like to help others by becoming a Personal Trainer. My working background was as a Swimming Coach where I

Train daughter day 😂
Literally the only PT I’ve done in 3 weeks 🥲.
C’mon , almost there
Great effort to these two athletes this morn. Smashing out some Ankorr fitness work. Combined with some footy skills. Have loved seeing their progress over the past 3 months. Their session had just increased to an hour to assist with more prep for their footy season kicking off in April. The main area has been their consistency to training. Plus their mindset at the beginning when fitness was lower following Covid restrictions. Instead of looking at where they had been. They focussed on where they were and how they needed to get to where they wanted to be.
Bring on April’s season girls. Can’t wait to see you actually play.

Finally. Back into the bush. Back on the trails. Back on the mountain bike.
Happy days 👏🏻

Missing my swimming atm. Usually this time of year I’m back in some type of water. The sad bit we can’t even drive to the beach as it’s out of our 5 km zone 😢😩. Most of us living in are pretty much at our end of these restrictions. Most of us are longing to get back to some kind of living.
For now, I’ll hang on to the sweet memories of the outdoors.

Making the most of this 1 hour of restricted time outdoors allowed. Due to Stage 4 restrictions in Melbourne. We are definitely feeling the pinch here in Melbs for now with just over half way until things are lifted.
What’s making things hard is that people’s coping mechanisms are low due to our usual coping strategies also being taken away. This for some is placing a severe strain on mental health.
Can’t see your usual friends to off load some family stress.
Can’t socialise or hit a pub or cafe to meet friends to forget about life’s angsts for a bit.
Can’t go to the local gym daily to increase your endorphins.
Can’t work as your job may be impacted as not being essentially listed.
Falling behind on bills
Not sleeping properly
Etc etc.
there are help lines and services available to contact should you need to reach out.
Your friends are still only a phone call away.
Your gym may be closed, but use your one hour outdoors and do some online free hiit sessions inside your home should you need more.
Hopefully with numbers reducing in outbreaks we can end this in the 3 remaining weeks.
Hold tight we are half way x.

Injuries can be so frustrating.
With my own back still out of action Ive had to find something that doesn’t irritate it,while still getting some training in. Plus with virtually no work due to Dhhs regulations for Myotherapy in Melbourne now, I actually have free time to use to get fitter. Stick to my tri program. But here I am. Stuck on an indoor bike !!
😩not my fave but better than nothing.
Stay well everyone and take the pressure off during this time
Don’t let others pressure you to decide against your usual choices simply because they don’t get the restrictions and updated regulations !!

Today’s ride.
I’m posting to remember what in Australia, Melbourne we are about to go through. Due to some general public not complying with the restrictions the Government has laid out for us to follow to reduce the spread of Covid 19, our city will go into stage 4 restrictions.
After 8pm tonight we will not be permitted to shop more than 5km away from our homes, exercise more than 5 km away from our homes. For more than 1 hour a day.
As for working and businesses we find out tomorrow. What’s open. What’s not. Together we can reduce the numbers of those being infected. Together we will get through this. But not to get this wrong on the flip side. By living like this for another 6 weeks ontop of what we have just gone through will likely create a massive psychosocial epidemic for many. This will place a massive toll on mental health even for those who are seemingly ok. To live under this type of restriction, where usual leisure is used to switch off from stress or go meet up with a friend to talk through ways we may not be coping are all gone. Each restriction places more stress on everyone, because how we usually de-load those pressures are slowly being taken away.
This local ride was memorable, even if it was only 12 km away from my home. Last bits of free choices slowly slowly going.
This time let’s get it right.
