Wantirna Jetbacks Basketball Club The club competed as the Waverley Jetbacks. Wantirna Jetbacks boast over 30 Junior Domestic teams in the Knox competition.
The Wantirna Jetbacks Basketball Club was formed by a merger of the Waverley Jets and the Waverley Redbacks in the Waverley Competition in the early 1980's. As the Waverley area "grew up", younger players became hard to find so the Club approached the Knox Gardens Primary School and formed 11 boys and girls teams.
