Insite Real Estate VOLUNTEER FOCUS – MICK O'KEEFE

In partnership with our Major Sponsor Insite Real Estate, our volunteer focus returns for 2026 to showcase tremendous work by the people who make the clubs tick.

Centrals Junior Football Club have proudly nominated Mick O'Keefe. Mick has been an outstanding volunteer since joining the committee in 2024 and currently serves as President. His commitment to the club is evident week after week, consistently putting his hand up for game-day duties including umpiring, runner, boundary and water duties, and any other role required to ensure games can go ahead smoothly.

In 2025, Mick also took on the role of Co-Coach for the Under 12s, dedicating his time and energy to developing young players and ensuring every child has the opportunity to enjoy a game of football. Beyond game days, he is a regular presence at training nights, assisting coaches, supporting players, and helping wherever needed to ensure training sessions run effectively. He is always willing to step in and help, demonstrating a genuine passion for supporting both players and the wider club community.

On home game days, Mick is often the first person to arrive and the last to leave. He plays a vital role in preparing the grounds, assists in opening the canteen, ensuring facilities are safe and ready for use, and helping with pack-up at the end of the day. His tireless work behind the scenes, strong leadership, and willingness to contribute in any capacity makes Mick an invaluable member of the club and a highly deserving nominee for volunteer recognition.

Mick's dedication, reliability, and selfless commitment to creating opportunities for young people to participate in football embody the true spirit of volunteerism and have had a significant positive impact on the club and its members.
