WDJFL Auskick Allocation Sessions

Over the coming weeks the Wangaratta & District Junior Football League will be hosting their WDJFL Allocation Training sessions as a lead up to announcing the player allocations for the 2027 season.

Sessions will consist of a combination of skill activities and small sided matches to review and compare the gradings of players obtained throughout the Auskick year and ultimately assist in the allocation of players to WDJFL clubs in Wangaratta.

Wednesday 19th of August from 4:00pm to 5:00pm at Barr Reserve Oval 2 – Grading Night

Wednesday 26th of August from 4:00pm to 5:00pm at Barr Reserve Oval 2 – Grading Night

Wednesday 2nd of September from 4:00pm to 5:00pm at Barr Reserve Oval 2 – Allocation Announcement Night

To be allocated we require all players to register through the following link - https://www.playhq.com/afl/register/1d46a3

Only players who are born in 2015 or 2016 (turning 11 or 12 in 2027) will be allocated through this process

The 2nd of September is a big one as this is where the Auskickers will find out which junior football club they will be heading to in 2027

Thanks to Fletchers Supplies Pty Ltd Shop, its a chance to recognise another of our amazing Wangaratta Auskick volunteers.

Over the years, Erin has been one of the quiet achievers behind Wangaratta Auskick, taking on countless committee roles and often setting up the BBQ area before most families are even awake on a Sunday morning.

Her dedication has been incredible, regularly juggling her own family commitments while continuing to support hundreds of local children and families through Auskick.

After years of service, Erin will be taking a well-earned break from the committee next year. Thanks to the knowledge, training and support she has shared with our newer committee members, we are in great hands moving forward.

Erin, thank you for your time, leadership and commitment to our community. Your contribution to Wangaratta Auskick has been enormous and is truly appreciated by us all.

Here is our exiting crew from 2026.
Some of these young footballers have been part of Wangaratta Auskick for more than half their lives, and saying goodbye to them is genuinely bittersweet. We’ve watched them grow, learn, get muddy, make friends, and fall in love with footy — and seeing them finish their final Auskick/Superkick season is something that hits the heart.
We are incredibly proud of each one of them, and while it’s sad to see them move on, we can’t wait to watch where their football journey takes them next.

We’ve got close to 800 photos we could have posted, but with the rain and our camera crew choosing to jump in and play footy with the kids, we’ll just share a handful of our favourites.

It was a brilliant way to finish the season, and we look forward to welcoming everyone back next year.

What an end to our season!!
Thank you to all our families, volunteers, and committee for being flexible with the changes to the scheduling. The real highlight was seeing our young footballers so keen to play, get muddy, and enjoy being with their friends and coaches one last time for the year.

This Sunday marks the final Wangaratta Auskick session for the season, and what a season it has been.
From first kicks and first marks, to new friendships, plenty of laughs and countless smiles, we've loved watching our young footballers grow in confidence and skill each week.
A huge thank you to our amazing families, volunteers, coaches, sponsors and committee members who make Wangaratta Auskick such a special community.
We simply couldn't do it without you.
Let's make this final session one to remember as we celebrate another fantastic season of Fun, Friends and Footy.

The final Sunday is here!
Under 8's & Under 10's: Please bring a spare shirt or jacket, as we'll be collecting footy jumpers after presentations.
This group presentations will be at the WSAC Showcourt 1 from 9:30am and then they will head off and play their final game of the year!!
