A summer season opening in the shadow of the AFL grand final drew 22 teams for a 2 person Ambrose hit out on a course in great condition.
A big thanks to the grounds crew for all there hard work thru the winter to have the course looking and playing as well as it looks!
Winners of the day were Annette & Ian Koch with a net score of 65. Second place went to Bret Sando and Gezza Burt with a net of 66. With third place filled by the in form team of Michael & Jason Henderson with a net score of 66.75. Congrats to the winners and everyone for turning out for an early morning hit.
NTP’s proved elusive with Ken Mee the only successful shot on No3 and no one on No’s 6 & 11.
Long Drives: Women - Annette Koch , Men - Cooper Jamieson .
Long Putts: No9 - Jason Henderson, No18 Gezza Burt.
Encouragement award to Lachy White & Farren Finn with 76.5nett ( a quite reasonable score - well done lads).

Tuesday 22nd September was the Winter Closing Day for the Ladies.
A 12 hole Ambrose President vs Captains trophy was the competition for the day followed by lunch and then the presentations for the year afterwards.

Wednesday golf in sunshine and light winds drew 19 players out for the mid week competition.
Winner of the day with a cracking score of 39 points was Wayne Lowe - well done Wayne.
Second place went to our outstanding Captain on 37 points ocb from Michael Henderson ( who is running hot at the moment!). Good golf fellas.
Other good scores Steve Solomon , Ian Shaw , Grant Donovan with 35pts, Neville Hank, Andrew Scoot on 34pts, John Gore, Greg Price, Viv Baker all on 32pts and Dave Mcarthy with 32 and Bret Sando with 31pt.
NTP’s were a win for the course with only No6 having a successful golfer land on the green, congratulations to John Vorsty. No3 & No11 defied all players - better luck next time players.
Long Putt to John Harris and Encouragement award to Nick Daniel.
Saturday is a 2 person Ambrose with tee off time between 8.30am and 9.00am to allow for the keen footy fans to go and watch the AFL grand final.
Sunday is the Wallaroo Golf Club AGM at 11.00am , please come and learn how the club is doing financially and have your say regarding who you want running the club.

Saturday golf with the first taste of summer drew good crowd of 34 players for a stableford competition for the WGC Vouchers.
Winner of the day Michael Henderson had a huuuuge day out scoring 45 points , down , down , down goes the handicap.
Second place with an also cracking score of 41 points, was Robbert Klomp. While in third place was Tyson Whitbread having a 40 point day out as well.
Congratulations fellas , great golf fellas!👍👏👏🏌️‍♂️
A grade winner was Cooper Jamieson with 36pts ocb from Brad Jamieson in second place.
B grade winner was Aaron Day with 37pts and Sam Clayson with 35pts ocb from Jason Henderson in third place.
C grade winner was Neville Hank with 35pts ocb from Dave McCarthy on 35pts.
Other good scores John Gore 34pts, Sam Hall 33pts, John Bussenschutt, Brett Sando 32pts, Terry Hanrahan, Lachy White, Wayne Lowe, Rick Haase all on 31pts.

Wednesday golf in very cool and overcast conditions obviously kept a few players away with only a small but dedicated group of nine turning up to play.
Winner of the day with an excellent score of 38 points, was John Vorsty. Great effort John.
Second place went to our pin placement perfectionist John Gore with 34pts and in third place was Dale McCarthy with a credible 32pts.
The weather tested the NTP’s, with only No3 providing a result for Andy Bruce. While No6 & No11 proved elusive for the field.
The long putt also was won by Andy Bruce - congratulations and the Encouragement award to Neville Hank to round out the days proceedings.
Saturday is a stableford competition, with the following week being the start of the summer season with a 2 person Ambrose to kick off early so you can all go and enjoy Freo’s Grand Final win!!.

A sunny day for Ladies Tuesday Golf today with 17 players in very cold windy conditions.

Winter season closing day aka David “Bodgie “ Shaw Memorial Day was a cracker of a day with perfect weather, the course looking as good as it gets ( a big shoutout to the grounds crew for all they do👏👏👍).
With the winning team sneaking into first place on a count back - the team of Jacques De Wet, Matt Stephen’s, Dave McCarthy and Wayne Lowe played fantastic golf to have a net score of 56.5 nett.
Second place team also obviously played great golf as well with the members Brad Jamieson, Brenton Jamieson, Cooper Jamieson and Shaun Jamieson having a 56.5 nett.
Third place team also snuck into their slot ocb as well with a nett score of 58.375.
NTP’s No3 Bruce Hahn, No6 Jason Henderson, No11 John Gore, Long Drive Men - Billy Cawthorne, Women - Kellie Paull.
