Congratulations to Chris Waring and Greg Mitchell on winning the Wagga RSL mixed pairs from Sue Brown and Nick Williams after a great game of bowls with the score 22-20 The game was played in excellent weather and on great greens Thanks to all players who entered and made it a great success

A quick wrap up about the State Championships at Dubbo where our team of Sue Brown, Patricia Urquhart and Jean Gooden played in the Senior Women’s Triples. In rainy, cold conditions in our first game against Charlestown we were defeated 20 - 16. We regrouped for our second game and had a comfortable win over Maitland City 32 - 5! In our last game against Taren Point we went down 21 - 15. Although we didn’t make it to the semi finals it was a great experience and we were extremely proud of our efforts.

Congratulations to Charlie Bush and Trevor Urquhart on winning the Wagga RSL 2026 minor pairs in a thrilling game of bowls 20-19 from Ray Hazell and Ian Lewis The crowd enjoyed a great game of bowls with all players playing excellent bowls throughout the game

Congratulations to Heath and Darren Walker Ian Lewis and Ray Hazell for winning the Wagga RSL 2026 graded 4s from Russell Manning Ben Waring Lonnie Hampton and John Swaffield 16-14 In very cool conditions all players excelled with very good bowls with the result being decided on the final end

Congratulations to Heath and Darren Walker and Ray Hazell on winning the RSL club triples for 2026 from Greg Mitchell-Ben Waring and Josh Annettes 22-20. After a close game of very good bowls from all players Heaths team finished the better to win the title

Congratulations to Wagga RSL No 5 pennant team on winning the Riverina Murray Region pennant final at Narrandera against a very good team from Young. Margin 5 shots after being even with 6 ends to play. Congratulations to Narrandera for their hospitality and great greens to hold the finals on. Good luck at Figtree in the state pennant playoffs in August

First prize winners were Heath Walker and Blake Ryan with 6 wins + 77 shots. 2nd Jordon Dennis and Johno Watson with 5 wins + 65 shots. 3rd Martin Cousley and John Puttock with 5 wins + 35 shots 4th Darren Renner and Christian Morgan 5wins +33 shots 5th Greg Mitchell and Artie Stacey 5 wins + 30 shots. 6th Harry Conroy and Bryce Debruyn 5 wins +25 shots
