Tough day at the office 😢 💔

ANNOUNCEMENT FROM MIKE ALLDER

Hi everyone,

after much thought and with a touch of sadness I’ve made the difficult decision to finish up as partner at Troy & Mike Tennis and as coach at Wantirna Tennis Club.

I will finish out the year and my final day will be Friday December 20.

The main reasoning behind this decision is to be home more of an evening while my kids are going through their import important school years.

As for my next move I will enjoy the Australian Open in my usual media role and then take some time to explore new opportunities.

I certainly won’t be lost to tennis.

Troy and I have worked together for over 20 years and will remain great friends.

Having spoken with him at length about this decision I know he will continue to provide great service to the club alongside his team of assistants.

A big thanks to the committees past and present for the opportunity and support and I wish the Wantirna Tennis Club all the best for the future.

I’ll definitely be back for junior finals as a spectator.

2024 Wantirna Tennis Club Championships
Finals Day is THIS SUNDAY!

Join the coaches, committee, members, families and friends for a great day of tennis action as we crown the 2024 club champions.

All the major finals plus a family round Robin so there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

A FREE bbq will be on all afternoon courtesy of the club and you’re more than welcome to bring a picnic, drinks etc and sit on the law and watch the tennis action.

Play starts from midday and all are welcome, see you there!

Playing for a chance to have their name on the honour board will be the Open Boy’s, Girl’s, Men’s and Women’s singles finals.

As well we’ll also be deciding the 10/u green ball challenge, the 12/u boy’s and girl’s singles as well as the open men’s doubles.

Alongside the finals we’ll be playing the now famous WTC cup! It’s is a family oriented round robin for abilities played in a super fun friendly environment.

Entries are now open for the 2024 Club Champs!

Back again with 11 separate events, the biggest club event of the year returns!

Finals day will be Sunday November 10.

Entries close Friday October 4 so get in quick.
