Congratulations to Belinda ‘Bel’ White – Player Category Inductee
One of South Australia’s most accomplished softball players, Belinda ‘Bel’ White has made an extraordinary contribution to the sport through her skill, leadership, determination and remarkable achievements at every level of the game.
🥎 Australian Representative #264 – Bel represented the Aussie Spirit from 2011 to 2023, earning an incredible 174 international caps across 30 capped events. She competed at five WBSC World Cups, won two World Championship bronze medals and represented Australia at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
🥎 State Representation & National Honours – Bel represented South Australia across a remarkable 21-year period, including 15 consecutive Open Women’s State Team selections from 2008 to 2023. She captained the team for over a decade and holds the record for seven Lorraine Brown Trophy wins as Open Women’s State MVP. She is also a two-time National Champion, winning the U19 title in 2006 and Open Women’s title in 2022.
🥎 Adelaide Competition & Sturt Softball Club – Bel has been named in the Adelaide Competition Team of the Year a record 18 times, including 10 selections as Catcher and six as Shortstop. She is a three-time Kathleen Correll Medal winner and a six-time Premier League premiership player with Sturt.
🥎 A Legacy of Excellence – A recipient of eight Softball SA Outstanding Achievement Awards, Bel’s achievements continued in 2026, where she was named Best Batter, Tournament MVP and All-Tournament Shortstop at the Over 35 National Championships.
From the international stage to her beloved Starz and Sturt, Bel has helped shape South Australian softball and inspired generations of players through her commitment, courage and passion for the game.
