This is Sam, our recent recruit in the NGCTouch team!

✨ Why made you want to be part of the team?
Since I started being involved in touch, I’ve always loved the culture that NGCT has built and what the club stands for

✨ Have you always loved footy?
I’ve always loved all footy codes since I was 5, and have played footy since that age as well

✨ What team do you support?
Brisbane lions, Broncos and the Reds

✨ Role models in the sport?
James O’Connor

✨ What’s one thing you wish you knew before your first game?
No matter what level of sport you play, always remember why you started playing and have fun

✨ Nickname you’d want on the back of your jersey?
Sconnie

Yes, we’ve had a few of you ask, so let’s clear it up: Touch Footy is ON tomorrow!

Gold Coast Show doesn’t change a thing for us, we’ll be out there ready to go as normal. Grab the kids, bring the sideline chairs, and come get amongst it.

🌟 TODAY IS A VERY EXCITING DAY! 🌟

Our PLAY IT FORWARD program has officially been sent out to our local schools, and nominations are now open! 💜❤️💛

This program is all about doing what we can to remove financial barriers and give more kids the opportunity to get involved in community sport. 🏉

We know there are families in our community doing it tough, and sometimes the cost of registration, uniforms and boots can be the difference between a child getting to play or sitting on the sidelines.

That’s where PLAY IT FORWARD comes in. 💜

Thanks to the support of McDonald’s Northern GC, five local students will receive a full year of Touch Football registration, an official playing kit and football boots.
