The surf lifesaving red and yellow safety flags will be raised tomorrow. If you’re free at 8am come on down to the club to have a cuppa at the cafe and cheer our first patrol onto the beach.

A GREAT DAY IN THE POOL FOR THE KILLCARE FRIGID DIGITS

The Killcare winter swimmers achieved outstanding results in the Australian Winter Swimming Championship yesterday in Perth. Battling the big Clubs from Sydney such as the Bondi Icebergs our team scored some of our best results in the Club's fiftieth year history.

Our ladies were 5th overall on team points. As for the medal winners Paula Dryden not only came first in her over 80s age range but set a new Australian record. This beat the previous record held by Frigid Digit doyen, Sue Purcell, who came in second. Johanna Kingma was third in the over 75s. The ladies relay team, pictured, came in second. Other members of our small but magnificent team made finals.

Well done to our team and your fantastic efforts.

One of the best things about our Silver Salties post walk social is unearthing amazing stories from our members.
Last Monday Phil and Sue shared their fabulous 3 week trip to China. Robyn has taken us to Turkey with Friendship Force and Deb has shared the way Time Share has created incredible family holiday memories.
