The UTS Swimming club is a Union Club that aims to support swimmers of all abilities including elite student athletes as they progress in their sporting and academic career, as well as enhancing the social and physical life of the UTS Community.

In 2019 UTS Swimming underwent structural change and the organisation merged together with UTS Sport to combine functions of the club from an operational and financial standpoint. As we have emerged out of the COVID-19 pandemic students are finally back on campus and universities are back in action after 2 years with many events withheld or cancelled over the pandemic. Any student who is enquiring about the club or wishing to ask about the swimming clubs activities that are being held this page is no longer active or managed by any individual or party. If you are wanting to find out more about swimming related activities please enquire with UTS Sport by email, [email protected] or via UTS Sport's socials.

Hi all,

Our club hopes everyone is settling into semester 2 well!

A few things have changed with our club in 2019 and we have noticed many students and third parties trying to get in contact with us via our email [email protected].

At this point in time we don't have anyone in online support to respond to your email :(

Our advice is the best contact for you to get in touch with is Sam Colless, Sports Club Coordinator at UTS Sport. His email address is [email protected].

We will let you know once this situation changes and we hope our alternative contact can answer your questions.

Have a great day! ✌️

We are absolutely devastated to announce the passing of Kenneth To, former student at UTS and one of the best swimmers to ever represent our university in history.

As a community we are extremely heartbroken to have come across this news as Kenneth inspired many swimmers not only apart of the UTS community but many across the world.

Kenneth represented UTS in the 2015 World University Games, an event which sees some of the world's best university student athletes come together to compete. He is pictured below on the left alongside fellow team mate Matt Treloar. (University of New South Wales)

Kenneth To had an extremely successful swimming career where he holds 2 Australian Records in the 100m and 200m Individual Medley events (SC). From 2016, he began to represent Hong Kong where he achieved further success and holds a staggering 16 national records. He was also the male overall winner at the 2012 FINA Swimming World Cup and won a silver medal in the 100m Individual Medley at the 2012 World Short Course Championships behind notable swimmer Ryan Lochte.

Kenneth will be remembered as a humble and dedicated athlete. At the peak of his career he was one of the best short course swimmers in the world. He made a huge mark and we are so proud to have had him apart of our team. Most of all Kenneth will never be forgotten for his contribution to UTS Swimming and also the sport of swimming.

We send our condolences to Kenneth's family, friends and coaches during this extremely tough time.

We won't forget you Kenny ❤️

Rest in Peace
Kenneth To (7 July 1992 - 19 March 2019)
