⭐️ 2027 SENIOR COACHING VACANCIES ⭐️

Tyers Lightning Soccer Club is seeking Expressions of Interest for the following coaching positions for the 2027 season:

⚽ Senior Men’s Coach
⚽ Senior Women’s Coach

We are looking for passionate and committed coaches with strong leadership and communication skills, a positive approach to player development, and a desire to build a supportive and competitive team environment.

As we look ahead to 2027, we would also like to sincerely thank our 2026 Senior Men’s Coaches, Shayne Pavich and Jason Collins, and Senior Women’s Coach, Katie Goodman, we truly appreciate the leadership, support and dedication they have shown to their players and our club during the 2026 season. 💚💛

As our outdoor season winds down, we’re starting the conversation about 2027 — and our amazing volunteers and committee.

We’ve heard a few people say they’re interested in helping out, but are unsure because they think they’ll be doing big roles, alone. We get it, life is busy - especially when you add kids to the mix.

So, let’s clear up some common questions!👇

❌ MYTH: “If I put my hand up, I’ll be on my own.”

✅ TRUTH: You’ll be part of a team.

No role should be carried alone. Our club runs on shared effort, support and people working together.

No one starts as an expert. Bring a willingness to help, and we’ll support you from there.

Whether it’s taking on a committee role, helping at an event, lending a hand when you can, or sharing a skill — there’s a place for everyone.

Our goal for 2027 is simple — build a committee where we work together, share the load and support each other. 💚

⭐️ GOOD SPORTS ROUND — CELEBRATING OUR VOLUNTEERS ⭐️

This weekend, we’re shining the spotlight on some of the most important people at Tyers Lightning — our amazing volunteers! 👏

From our Coaches, Coordinators, Team Managers and Committee Members, to our Canteen Managers and Helpers, Ground Maintenance and everyone else who quietly pitches in when something needs doing — our club simply wouldn’t be what it is without you.

Volunteering isn’t always about the big jobs. Sometimes it’s setting up a pitch, sending a message, organising a team, packing up after a training, running the lines, refereeing, cleaning the clubrooms, or simply just being there when your club needs you.

It all adds up.

This Good Sports Round, we want to say a huge THANK YOU to every person who gives their time to Tyers Lightning.

You help create the welcoming, safe and family-friendly club environment that makes community sport so special. 💛💚

⚡️ TUESDAY NIGHT TRAINING — CANCELLED ⚡️

It probably comes as no surprise, but with the excessive rain we’ve had, along with two more weekends of Seniors matches scheduled at home, we’ve made the decision to cancel tomorrow night’s training for all age groups.

Please keep an eye on your Messenger group chats for any further information regarding Thursday night training.
