Somerville Eagles is inviting expressions of interest for the Position of Senior Men's Coach for the 2027 Season.

We are seeking an ambitious and committed coach to lead our Men's program consisting of 4 mens teams. We have a strong focus on our culture and a one club approach, with a strong core playing group.

We are looking for a coach who shares our values, ambitions and is keen to work with our club over a long period to achieve success.

IIts with a heavy heart that we announce Mark Larner is stepping down from his role as head coach. Having been a part of the Eagles for a long time as a parent and junior coach, Mark took on the Senior Coaching role for season 2024 and has been leading the ship for the past three seasons. Mark has lead the boys to a strong 5th placed finish this year, challenging for a play off spot. Mark also leaves us with a positive win rate. We'd like to thank Mark for his contribution to the club, the memories and the wins. Thank you Mark

⚽️⚽️⚽️2026 MINI ROOS PROGRAM ⚽️⚽️⚽️

📣We are excited to announce our next Mini Roos Program will be starting in October.

A 6 week introductory program targeted for new players aged 5-9.🏃‍♂️

🚨Each Session will focus on fundamental soccer skills such as passing, dribbling, shooting and small sided games in a fun environment.

💲Cost: $70 For New Participants or
$50 for Past Participants.

Sessions: 6

🗓️Commences: Tuesday 13th October 2026
⏱️Time: 4:30pm
📍Location: Barber Reserve

Less than $15 per session, plus each new player will receive a Miniroos pack as part of their registration.

And that's a wrap folks.

Our senior women finish off the season sharing the points with Monash University. With other results going against us on the day the Sheagles finish fourth for the year, a fantastic result and with one final goal for Tay Culwick too! Thank you to all those who've supported our Sheagles over the year!

We take the win against Yarra Jets in difficult windy conditions. A Timmy Simmons brace in the first half was enough to secure our last 6 point Saturday for the year!
