Today was an EPIC day for client Beau at his first novice comp ✨
With some minor setbacks throughout this prep, he never stopped putting in his best efforts and it showed today. PBs across all lifts AND the best fun had while doing so!
Take a moment for this easy as third attempt deadlift and the socks 🤗
And holy moly … what a goddamn VIBE of a comp. 😎
Let’s do some work and onto the next 👊🏼

COMP RECAP ✨
I actually had so much fun at this comp and that was our main goal - get there, enjoy myself and qualify! We had no set plan on attempts but just to see how the day panned out and roll with it.
S - 117.5 - 125 - 130
B - 65 - 67.5 - 70 ❌
D - 137.5 - 147.5 - 160
8/9
Equal comp total.
Overall female winner (first drug test, yew 😂)
Thanks so much to my coach .graham, first comp together and was such a vibe. Keen for what’s to come.
Also thank you to everyone who got around me and the support, really felt the love and that is why I love powerlifting 🫶
And for putting the day together. Awesome comp.

Progress isn’t just about adding load to an exercise.
Progress can be improving your ability to:
▪️ resist force
▪️ maintain control
▪️ hold stronger, more stable positions through a movement
If you haven’t developed the skill to do those things, adding load shouldn’t be the focus.
A recent example with one of my clients 👇
Her Bulgarian Split Squat started supported (both hands on the squat rack).
Now she’s performing the same movement unsupported demanding more balance, stability, and control.
Same exercise. No added load, but a higher demand on stability and control.
That’s progression.
Not always louder but more meaningful.
✨ If you’re looking for coaching that focuses on quality movement and building real strength, feel free to send me a message.

Building strength isn’t just about what happens in the gym — it’s about who you become along the way.
Through training, you can uncover the confidence and resilience that already exist within.

✨ About Me ✨
I thought it was about time I properly introduced myself.
Hi, I’m Sam - a strength coach, powerlifting competitor, and mum of three. I know firsthand how challenging it can be to balance training with work, family, and everything else life throws at you.
I’m big on continuing my education through courses, seminars, and real-world experience because I believe great coaching should always evolve.
I love training that’s challenging but sustainable.
Discipline. Consistency. Growth.
Outside of the gym, you’ll usually find me spending time with my kids, hanging with my pooch Nellie 🐶, listening to good tunes, and enjoying the occasional cheeky marg and taco 🌮 (all about balance, right? 😉).
That balance is exactly how I coach.
My goal is to help you feel stronger, more confident, and more capable not just in the gym, but in life.
If you’re here for strength, support, and coaching with intention, Welcome! 🤍💪
