Whether you’re a returning SMB family or you’re thinking about joining us for the first time, we’d love to have you as part of our club! 💙

🏀 IMPORTANT - AGE GROUP CHANGES

Summer competition involves age group changes, so players may be placed in a different age group next season.

You are welcome to request that players stay together, however we cannot guarantee this will be possible. Teams will be formed with the aim of ensuring they are balanced and fair for all players.

We are currently looking for Age Group Coordinators and Committee members.

𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝗗𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗿 𝗣𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗦𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺 – 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲/𝟮𝟳 𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗼𝗻

From the 2026/27 Summer Season, TABA will introduce a Player Points System for A Grade junior domestic competitions.

The system will allocate players a point value based on their representative experience, with each team having a maximum number of points available when forming a team.

This change is designed to simplify the current rules, provide greater clarity and support the continued growth of our Junior Representative Program.

We encourage all coaches, team managers, clubs and parents to read the information sheet before entering teams for the upcoming Summer Season.

🏀 Looking Ahead to Summer Basketball 🏀

As we head into the final half of the winter season, St Michael's Basketball Club is already planning ahead for the Summer Season, expected to commence in October.

To help us gauge interest and prepare for team numbers, we're inviting families to submit an early Expression of Interest for children who may be interested in playing next season.

We're particularly keen to hear from families with children born in 2018 or 2019, including those who:
🏀 Are currently playing U8 basketball
🏀 Have participated in Aussie Hoops
🏀 Are looking to try basketball for the first time
🏀 Have recently moved to the area
🏀 Simply love being active and part of a team

At St Michael's Basketball Club, we pride ourselves on providing a welcoming, supportive and family-friendly environment where players can develop skills, build confidence, make friendships and enjoy the game of basketball.

No previous basketball experience is required.

SMB is currently looking for a few additional skilled players to join our U12 Boys A Grade for the Winter 2026 season.
