No fishing this weekend got to service my reel after the 4lb comp 🤣🎣 oh mine is the one in the middle , but I have to do these 130,s for a local gameboat get them ready for heavy tackle season 🎣🛥

Well I got itchy feet and couldn't wait to get it out.
In this episode Shane Jarvis joins me for a chat all things Humminbird, fresh from fishing the Veterans Barra League we find out if he caught anything.
I have just finished fishing with the team from Shimano in the 4lb comp so I discuss what we did right and what we did wrong.Dom from Shimano is on the phone for a chat.

Well after many requests I have pulled my finger out and getting podcasts back up and running.
I have Shane Jarvis from Humminbird joining me tonight to record a show and drop it in the next couple of days.
We have plenty to talk about with Jarvo fresh from fishing the Veterans Barra League to me trying to fish 4lb at the 4lb comp and of course heaps of Humminbird chat.

Join us at the Tilapia Takedown - a family-friendly fishing competition.

Cast a line, catch as many tilapia as you can, and help reel in this invasive pest that harms the health of our waterways. Then explore information stalls, grab a snag from the BBQ and see who takes home prizes for the longest tilapia!

Every fish caught makes a difference. Tilapia removed during the Takedown will be recycled through Townsville City Council’s Healthy Soils program.

What awesome couple of days fishing the 4lb comp , a huge thank you to Shimano for inviting me to fish in there team , Dom and Tay flew up from Sydney and experienced Hinchinbrook at its finest belting rain , 25 knots, lovely sunshine and 10 knots all in 2 days but we keep coming back.
Fishing 4lb is a challenge but we managed some good fish first day 68 , 53 cm barra , bream and cod and learning you dont strike on the bite cost me a 70. We found plenty but dropped plenty boating 2 out of 12 barra. Second day a bite tougher but we still managed trevally, barra , flathead and fingermark. Tay with a nice flathead and Dom nice barra.
Well done to Jimmy , Luke and crew and all who fished.
And thanks again Shimano for your sponsorship of the comp and dragging me along with you 🤣🎣🥰
