🙌 A Huge Thank You to Our JSC Referees! 🟥🟩⬜

While our players were out proudly wearing the Gowa colours, there was another group representing Thuringowa with just as much passion, professionalism and dedication… our incredible referees.

Without referees, we simply can’t nominate teams to compete at events like the Junior State Cup. Their commitment before, during and after every carnival is vital to the success of our association.

Across the carnival, our Gowa referees officiated an incredible 60 games, including some of the biggest matches of the weekend:

🏃‍♂️ Jack – 13 games, including the 14 Boys Grand Final 🏆
🏃‍♀️ Kaylee – 12 games
🏃‍♀️ Abbi – 15 games ⭐
🏃‍♂️ Kylan – 12 games, including the 16 Girls Grand Final 🏆
🏃‍♀️ Ella – 8 games

Collectively, they were appointed to:
🏅 6 Quarter Finals
🏅 3 Semi Finals
🏅 2 Grand Finals

These appointments are a reflection of the respect they have earned through their consistency, knowledge and professionalism.

Two years ago these girls proudly represented Thuringowa at 2024 JSC. Now they’re back together again, all grown up and lining up in the 14 Girls.

Same club. Same bond. New chapter. 🔥

So proud of how far they’ve come — can’t wait to watch them keep growing together.

14 Girls went a perfect 3/3 today! 🙌
✅ 5-1 win vs Hounds
✅ 5-2 win vs Toowoomba
✅ 8-0 win vs South Tweed
Final round game tomorrow 8:40am vs Kawana, then straight into quarter finals!

14 Boys fought hard:
❌ Narrow 3-4 loss to Gold Coast
✅ 6-4 win vs Rockhampton
❌ Narrow 2-1 loss to Palm Beach
Quarter final vs Gold Coast tomorrow 10:25am. Let’s get the win tomorrow!

12 Girls — final round game bright and early tomorrow at 7:30am. Go girls!

🏆 Junior State Cup Update – Go Gowa!

🔥 U14 Boys kicked things off in style, winning the boys’ relay! Great way to build momentum heading into their 3 games ahead. Were you cheering from home? We sure were! 📣

⚡️U12 Girls wrapped up their day fighting hard against some tough opponents. One more round tomorrow – let’s go, girls! 💪

⚡ U10 Boys have had a huge day – three games down already, with their final match later this afternoon. What a effort!

Our kids are having an absolute blast! 🙌

They’re making memories with their teammates, supporting each other, proudly wearing the Gowa colours and embracing everything that Junior State Cup is about.

❤️ 10 Boys – 3 tough games against quality opposition. They’ll be ready to bounce back tomorrow.

💚 12 Girls – 2 losses and 1 draw. They showed plenty of determination and never stopped competing.

❤️ 14 Girls – 1 win, 1 draw and 1 loss. A fantastic first day with some great touch football on display.

💚 14 Boys – 2 draws to finish Day 1 unbeaten. They’re building nicely heading into tomorrow’s matches.

No matter the result, every player has represented Thuringowa with pride, heart and sportsmanship. We couldn’t be prouder of the way our teams are supporting one another and representing our association.

Our Under 14 Boys finish Day 1 unbeaten, recording two hard-fought draws against strong BMTA and Redlands Green sides. They now enjoy a well-earned rest before returning to the fields tomorrow. Great work, boys! 👏
