The 48th Rowes Bay GC Men's Open has been run and won! 🏌

Introducing the 𝟒𝟖𝐭𝐡 𝐑𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐬 𝐁𝐚𝐲 𝐌𝐞𝐧'𝐬 𝐎𝐩𝐞𝐧 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐢𝐨𝐧 - 𝐑𝐢𝐜𝐨 𝐀𝐯𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐨! 🏆

Capacity field of 200 starters enjoyed the course being in magnificent condition over the two days. Huge thank you to Jason Bushell and his team for the amazing presentation of the course! ⛳

Big thanks to our early morning cheer squad for creating a fun atmosphere cheering the good, the bad, and the ugly of the golf being played.

The wind made the going tough today, especially this afternoon, which has kept the scores very tight across all 3 grades.

The leading 4 players from each grade have been moved into the seeded groups.

⛳️ MASSIVE PENNANTS WEEKEND FOR RBGC! ⛳️

What a weekend of golf for our Men's A and B Grade squads representing the club across North Queensland!

𝐁 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐞: 𝐃𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝟐 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬! 🏆 Our B Grade team brought home the felt from Ayr! After a gritty, undefeated weekend—drawing with Townsville and securing gutsy wins against Bowen and Ayr—the boys claimed the title on a countback and officially earned promotion to Division 1 for 2027. 📈

Standouts: Gordon Hasslberger and junior Ikie McGrath went undefeated with 3 wins each, while Jason Parrish and Paul Duggan picked up 2 crucial wins each. Special Mention: A massive shoutout to young Ikie for stepping up into open men's competition and knocking off some highly accomplished competitors! 🌟

𝐀 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐞: 𝐇𝐨𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐠 🏌️‍♂️ Our A Grade men also put in a stellar effort contesting their division up at Mystic Sands.

The squad notched a solid win against Bowen before going down in some seriously tough, hard-fought matches against Tropics and Seniors.
The boys dug deep all weekend and have successfully retained their division for next year. Great effort!

We hosted our annual Charity Day at The Bay yesterday with perfect weather, blue skies and some great golfing with friends! 🔆🌴Visitors from Townsville, Tropics and Magnetic Island joined our members for a day on the greens while raising vital funds for 𝐇𝐨𝐩𝐞 𝐈𝐧 𝐀 𝐒𝐮𝐢𝐭𝐜𝐚𝐬𝐞, all thanks to our major sponsor Explore Property Munro & Co!
