Our Father's Day Golf Classic is an 18 hole Stableford event with tee times from 7:30am, followed by a well earned lunch.

What's included: 18 holes of golf, a Porterhouse steak served with with chips and salad, plus your choice of a glass of house wine or a pot of beer. Vegetarian option available.

Prizes: $1,500 worth of TaylorMade hardware up for grabs, announced at the end of play.

You don't need to play golf to be part of one of the most important days The Sands Torquay will host this year!

As part of the 2026 Jarrod Lyle Charity Golf Day, we're opening the doors to the wider community for a special Sportsman's Lunch, bringing together three big names from AFL football for an afternoon of stories, laughs, auctions and raffles, in support of young Torquay local Harry Duffy.

Joining us on stage: Travis Boak (Port Adelaide champion, 300-game AFL player, 3 x All Australian), Zach Tuohy (former Carlton and Geelong star, 2022 Premiership player) and Shane O'Bree (former Collingwood player, current Magpies Recruiting Manager).

There's also plenty up for grabs, with auctions and raffles including golf getaways to Vietnam and Fiji, a 75-inch LG TV, and a custom fit set of TaylorMade golf clubs valued at more than $6,500.

Winners are grinners! We had the privilege of hosting some of the district's best golfers yesterday for the SWGA's annual President's Cup.
