IMPROVE YOUR BREATH & OCEAN SKILLS in the Universal Apnea 4 hour Ocean Skills & Breath Course at Gosford Olympic Pool on August 29, 2026!

Designed specifically for surfing and ocean sports, this 4-hour course provides essential safety skills and ocean-specific techniques to help you stay calm and capable in challenging water conditions. Learn correct breathing patterns for open water, proven panic management methods, evidence-based anxiety reduction strategies, and safe breathholding practices - all designed to improve your knowledge, technique and enhance your performance.

The course is highly reputable and is based on the most recent evidence based science and coaching methods. At Universal Apnea we are committed to providing our students with the best knowledge and experience possible in a safe and supportive environment.

Our coaching staff are highly experienced surfers, ocean swimmers, professional ocean lifeguards, Swimming Australia Accredited Swim Coaches, Surfing Australia Accredited Surf Coaches and AIDA Master Freedivers that come with over 20 years experience in coaching for ocean environments.

COURSE CERTIFICATION

This is a Universal Apnea Level 1 Surf Apnea Certification Course.

​DURATION AND TIMES

The course will be conducted over a single 4-hour session starting at 8.00am - 12 noon.

8.00am - 9.30am Dryland education.
9.30am - 11am Pool session. Skills and drills in practice with your coach.
11.00am - 12 noon Dryland training.
