It will be hot in Toowoomba tomorrow with Queensland Cricket bringing the Heat to Garden City. For your chance to rub shoulders with some of this year’s team and an early season cricket fix be at Newtown Park between 3.30 and 5.30 pm.

Cricket is almost back, and there are some important dates coming up as we prepare for the 2026/27 Toowoomba Cricket season.

📅 29th–30th August – South Queensland Country Carnival – Sunshine Coast
📅 3rd September – Junior Come & Try Day
📅 18th September – Team nominations close
📅 20th September – TCI v Goondiwindi Women
📅 10th October – Season starts – Senior & Women’s competitions

The SQCC Women’s Community Cricket Carnival aims to:

Provide representative playing opportunities for community cricketers.
Promote and strengthen female participation pathways within cricket.
Foster connections and development across the regions.
Deliver a rewarding, inclusive, and competitive carnival experience.

This carnival is for female cricketers playing in community cricket competitions in their zone.
All players must be 15+ years of age and not playing 1st grade QC Premier Cricket

It’s only the beginning of Winter, but we’re gearing up for a massive season of Women’s Cricket in Toowoomba for season 2026-2027!

It all starts with announcing our 2026 TCI Women’s Falcons Representative Squads! With such incredible growth in Women’s Cricket in Toowoomba, we’ve named both Under 19’s and Open Women’s Squads from those who completed the recent EOI. So exciting!!

Congrats to everyone named, and we will soon announce a pre-season training schedule along with some pre-season games against other representative teams in the South Country region.

C GRADE 2 day Final. Western Districts Cricket Club - Toowoomba Inc V Metropolitan Easts Cricket Club Toowoomba. WDCC won the toss and elected to field first. Mets were bowled out for 155 runs. In reply WDCC passed the total finishing at 7/162. player of the match went to James Ottobrino, with 34 runs and 1/3/2.

LADIES GRAND FINAL Northern Brothers Diggers Dragons Cricket Club /University Cricket Club - Toowoomba V TROJANS.
Trojans won the toss and sent NBD/Uni into bat finishing on 4/224. In reply, Trojans were bowled out for 145. player of the final was Rachel Lewis (51 runs & 1/5/4).

B GRADE 2-Day Final Metropolitan Easts Cricket Club Toowoomba V Southern District Magpies Cricket Club - Toowoomba. Souths won the toss and elected to bowl. Mets were bowled out for 220. In reply, Souths were all out for 133. Player of the final was Shoeb Harun, with bowling figures of 5/44/21.
