Pilates is a form of exercise developed in the 1920’s to work the mind and muscle in harmony, and is great for those looking to achieve graceful movement, long lean muscles and a strong stream lined physique. Pilates is a common method of mind-body fitness and is gentle enough to be used by physiotherapists as a rehabilitation tool, right through to top level dancers and athletes for body conditioning. This form of exercise works to strengthen all of the muscles in the body, is low impact and is one of the most effective ways to change body shape, improve posture and tone up. Exercise regimes are challenging and can achieve fantastic results for any fitness level or any age. From those wishing to improve their strength, flexibility, and physical fitness, to those with injuries, or during pregnancy. In short this form of exercise is great for anyone. To see noticeable results in a relatively short period of time Pilates should be practiced regularly for three, one hour sessions per week. Power on Pilates understands that a busy work/life schedule does not always allow for this. We invite people from all walks of life, with a range of personal fitness goals and remind everyone to leave their ego at the door! We ask only that our students commit to achieving their own personal best, and focus mind to mat during the regular sessions they attend to get the best possible results. Why would I attend sessions at Power on Pilates rather than attending sessions at the gym?

• Train with a knowledgeable qualified Pilates trainer, who is passionate about bringing a high standard of Pilates training to clients and is always looking for ways to achieve the best results for the client.
• Small group sessions to ensure that all students get the respect and attention they require to progress and achieve their own desired results.
• Friendly, calm environment which puts the client first, encourages personal growth and support to be the best version of one’s self, rather than comparisons and unhealthy competition and judgement.
• Although Pilates is not a team sport as such we encourage a team-work type of environment. Small classes allow for students to build strong social relationships, inspire and support each other through challenging classes.

You have to be in it to win it! We've got a couple of vouchers up for grabs for tonights 5.30 and 6.30pm reformer classes for Teale. The question is what are the 3 C's of Pilates?

💛 A little kindness can make a big difference. 💛

We’re very proud to be holding a collection for We Care Connect, a wonderful local organisation that helps provide essential items to families in our community who are doing it tough.

From Monday 14th September until Saturday 24th October, we’ll have a collection point here at the studio.

If you would like to contribute, simply bring your donated items along to Pilates and pop them in our collection area. Every little bit helps, and what might seem like a small gesture to us can make a really meaningful difference to a family who needs a helping hand.

And please know — this is completely optional. ❤️

There is absolutely no expectation for our clients to donate. We simply wanted to give our beautiful community an opportunity to help another local family if they are in a position to do so.

One of the things we love most about our studio is that we’re not just a place to exercise. We’re a community of people who look out for each other — and when we can extend that kindness beyond our studio doors, that's something pretty special.

Thank you, as always, for being such a caring and generous community. 🫶

If you're looking for something to do today the Vacy Country Carnival is on. There's a bit of live music, some markets and lots of other great things to check out. Meanwhile, I'm heading back home to plan classes for the week so I can work this bad boy off.

It's fun fact Thursday and it's also women's health week. The theme this year is 'do it anyway'. As women we so often put our own needs at the very bottom of the to do list. It's time to make sure we do those health checks, look after our own mental wellbeing and make time for social connections. The first person that can quote what the theme is for women's health week gets a coffee voucher for Common Grounds at Morpeth. Book here 👇 www.poweronpilates.com.au

💕 WOMEN’S HEALTH WEEK 2026 💕

This year’s theme is a simple but powerful one:

DO IT ANYWAY.

Women are very good at looking after everyone else.

We remember the appointments. We organise the family. We worry about the kids, our partners, our parents, our work and the never-ending list of things that need to be done.

And somewhere amongst all of that, looking after ourselves can quietly slip further and further down the list.

This Women’s Health Week is about changing that — not by trying to be perfect or completely overhaul our lives, but by taking small, realistic steps towards our own health and wellbeing, on our own terms.

Book the health check you’ve been putting off.
Talk to someone when things feel heavy.
Ask more questions when something doesn’t feel right.
Make time for movement.
Catch up with a friend.
Rest when you need to.
And importantly, don’t accept that pain or changes in your body are simply something you have to “put up with.”

Women’s health matters. Our pain matters. Our mental wellbeing matters. And conversations around things like endometriosis, perimenopause and the enormous mental load so many women carry matter too.

At Power on Pilates, we’re incredibly lucky to have a studio filled with wonderful women at so many different stages of life. We see you juggling busy lives, families, work and responsibilities — and we also see what happens when you give yourself permission to spend a little time looking after you. 🩷

Sometimes coming to Pilates isn't just about the exercise.

It's an hour to move your body.
An hour to breathe.
An hour to laugh and chat with other women.
An hour where nobody needs anything from you.

It’s an hour that is yours.

So this Women’s Health Week, you don’t need to make enormous changes or suddenly have everything figured out.

Just choose one small thing that’s good for you.

Even when life is busy.
Even when there are a hundred other things you could be doing.

Do it anyway. 💕

Because looking after yourself isn't something that should always be saved for later.

You deserve a place on your own to-do list too.

With love from all of us at Power on Pilates 🩷

Hello from sunny Echuca. What a beautiful part of the world! We're on our way home so it won't be long until everything is back to normal in the studio. In the meantime, here are some photo's of me extreme planking to remind everyone to keep stretching and moving.
