I am extremely honoured to have been presented with the 2025 PGA National Coach of the Year Award - Game Development. Thank you to PGA of Australia for their hospitality in Brisbane last week at the BMW Australian PGA Championship and I would like to thank the WAPGA Committee and the PGA Members Vocational Council for considering me worthy of this award.

Thank you to all staff and members at The Vines Resort, with particular mention to our Director of Golf, Teresa Clarke, a great supporter of our game development initiatives and to John and Yvonne Messenger, for their years of voluntary support with our inclusive Ready Steady Golf program. This program has been supported for many years by the WA Golf Foundation and in recent years by the Salty Fish Fundraising Golf Day thanks to Steve Touchell. Without their generosity this program would not have been possible.

Sincerest thanks to Community Instructor Anna-Maria England who has provided help, input and engagement to all game development programs over the past ten years or so.

The aim has and always will be, to create new opportunities for people young and old of all backgrounds and all abilities to experience our great game. As another year comes to an end we look forward to offering some exciting new initiatives in 2026.
