Get ready for fast, fun, and social footy — AFL 9s kicks off Thursday 8th of October 2026 and we can’t wait to hit the field! 🙌

📍Location: Dorrington Park, Ashgrove

🟦 What is AFL 9s?
It’s the AFL’s non-contact, 9-a-side format — perfect for all ages (12+), all fitness levels, and all skill levels. Whether you’re a seasoned player or just keen to get active with mates, this is for you!

👕 COMPETITIONS
🏃‍♂️ Men’s Comp – Ages 12+ (max 2 players aged 12–14 per team)
🤝 Mixed Comp – Ages 12+ (max 2 players aged 12–14 per team, min 2 women per team)

💰 Team Fee: $900 (per team)

🕕 Game Times: 6pm, 7pm & 8pm
📆 Season Length: 8 weeks + 1 final round

Today we celebrated an incredible season with our end-of-season presentations and an amazing Kick-a-thon. It was fantastic to see so many players and families come together to celebrate everything we've achieved this year.
From our Auskickers to our junior teams, we've seen tremendous growth, teamwork, sportsmanship and plenty of smiles along the way.

A huge thank you to our players, coaches, managers, committee members, canteen crew, team helpers and every volunteer who gives their time to make The Gap Dragons JAFC such a special place. Our club simply wouldn't exist without your dedication and support.

Thank you to all of our families for another fantastic season. Enjoy the break, and we'll see you back at the Dragons Den in 2027! 💚💙🐉
