Not the way we wanted this one to end.

We threw everything at it last night and for long periods felt like we had control of the game, but football can be cruel. Kincumber found the breakthrough late and despite pushing right until the final whistle, we couldn’t find the one we needed in return.

And just like that, our 2026 season comes to an end.

A massive thank you to everyone who came out and made up our cheer squad last night 🧡

And a huge thank you to our Coach Jorge, Manager Peter and Physio Kat for everything they’ve put into this team all season, both on game day and behind the scenes. We couldn’t have done it without you.

It might be the end of the road for WPL, but there is still plenty of orange left to support this weekend.

Our U18 girls play their Grand Final today, while our Women’s All Age side continue their finals campaign in their semi-final. Our turn to be the cheer squad 🧡

We’ve spent all season trying to get here. May as well hang around for a little longer.

First up: Kincumber under lights at Pluim. We know them, they know us, and if our games this season are anything to go by, we’re in for a good one.

All three are part of our U18s side, who won their semi-final this morning before the girls backed it up with us this afternoon. Next stop for them: a Grand Final. Pretty special day for the young Tords 🧡
