Hello sportsfans. Some important news from the BTAFC

At the clubs AGM on Monday night an era ended. Harry “H” Harisiou has decided to step down from any official position with the club ending a long and storied career as a player, coach and administrator. While I am sure we will still see plenty of H around the club, on behalf of the committee, players and supporters at the Bullants, I would like to thank him for his immense contribution.

As well as being a Best & Fairest winner with the Bullants and a member of the Robert Hill Team of the Century, H has had a number of off field roles. He was
- Senior Coach 1991 to 1994 and 2010 to 2011
- Under 19 Coach 2002 to 2009 (Premiers 2006 after coming back from a 66 point deficit at the last break)
- Club XVIII Coach 2012
- President 2012 to 2017
- Football Operations Manager 2018

Add to this the countless informal jobs he did around the club every Thursday night and on match days and you get a small appreciation of how big a part of the club H has been.

I am sure however that we will continue to hear his booming support from the boundary barracking for his beloved Bullants.

We wish H every success in his new role of doting nonno and with whatever else is in his future.

YJFL is hosting a Come and Try Umpire Evening -Tuesday, 20th November,
An Introduction for females interested in umpiring across all disciplines (field, boundary and goal).

Senior VFL and AFLW Umpire, Annie Mirabile, along with YJFL Umpire Manager, David Hannan and his YJFL Umpire Coaches will be in attendance to guide, answer any questions and encourage females to be part of the YJFL Umpires in the 2019 season and beyond.
