The all-new Scott Spark RC for 2027 has arrived. Scott unveiled the bike to the world just a few days ago, and it’s already proving its pedigree at the highest level of XC racing.
This latest Spark is an evolution rather than a revolution—the revolution came with the previous generation. Back in 2022, Scott changed the game by integrating the rear shock into the frame and embracing 120mm of front and rear travel. Combined with a low centre of gravity design philosophy, it created a bike that set a new standard for cross-country performance and influenced the direction of the entire category.
Fast forward to today, and 120mm travel has become the benchmark for modern XC race bikes. It’s fair to say the guys from NSN cycling are having a great time on their new bikes here Down Under. A 2nd place finish on the Prologue and today’s sprint win saw Scott”s Foil do exactly what it’s designed to do and get through the air as quick as possible.

2025 brought many great moments. Some were challenging, some were fun, but all were worth the effort.

Over the coming days, I’ll be sharing some of the memorable highlights from throughout the year.
