Founded in 1952 by a small band of intrepid local cyclists, Tamworth Cycle Club now enjoys a strong membership of riders of all ages and ability. Cycle racing in the Tamworth district however goes back to the late 1800s when races were held on rough dirt tracks on bikes designed for anything else than racing on today's standards. The Cycle Club caters for not only the keen racers but also those cyclists who want to simply enjoy rides with the occasional fast finish to the end.

Andrew Swan Memorial Road Race 2026 53km on Dangarsleigh Road The event is held in accordance with AusCycling Rules & Regulations Participants must adhere to directions of Commissaires.
Racing is OFF.
We hope to see you at the Tamworth Mountain Bikers weekend next weekend before another few weeks to wrap up our road season.

Whilst we initially had no racing listed for this weekend, we have moved that to next weekend Sat 29th.
Our good friends Tamworth Mountain Bikers hosting a huge weekend of racing Aug 28-30th and we are returning the volunteering favour to help them out. Head over to their page to see how you can help or pin a number on!

🏆 2026 John Dewhurst Memorial
The 2026 John Dewhurst Memorial Race was another great day of racing, with a strong field lining up to honour the memory of John Dewhurst.
Congratulations to Graham Lewis, who took out the win after a hard-fought race. David Palmer finished second, with Michael Hoult rounding out the podium in third.
