2026 TCS Sydney Marathon

Masters athlete Dani Andres raced his 45th marathon today for the Chris O’Brien Lifehouse Charity and in honour of mate Professor Richard Scolyer AO. After finishing in a time of 3:18.48 Dani said it was his most painful marathon to date (referring to running with a few fractured ribs following an accident a few weeks ago) but did it for my friend! Huge effort Dani 👏🎉 Balmain proud 🖤🧡

2026 World Masters Athletics Championships, Daegu Stadium Sth Korea, 22-28/08/2026.

Congratulations to Masters athlete Krzysztof Wardecki representing Australia in the M55 4x100m relay team winning🥉49.37🎉and placing 8th 200m F 26.13, 7th(H5) 100m SF 12.87s, & 11th Long Jump 5.06m👏 A massive five days💥

This caps off a terrific domestic season for Kris winning 🥉at Australian Masters Championships in the M55 60m 8.08, 200m 26.47 & Long Jump 4.86m, and🥈at the NSW Masters Championships in the M55 60m 8.16, 200m 26.41 & Long Jump 4.86m and🥉in the 100m 12.86s👏

2026 World Masters Athletics Championships, Daegu Stadium Sth Korea, 27/08/2026.

Congratulations to Masters athlete Craig McIntosh who placed 4th in the M55 Javelin World Masters Athletics Championships with a season best throw of 47.07m (700g)🎉💪

This caps off a fantastic season for Craig who is the current M55 NSW Masters Champion Javelin 46.15m (700g), M55 Australian Masters Games Champion Shot Put 11.52m (6kg) where he also won🥈in the M55 Javelin 45.62m (700g), and in the M55 Australian Masters Championships claimed🥈Javelin 42.75m (700g)👏

Craig was also part of the Balmain🥇medal-winning quartet in the M 200+ Shot Put Relay at the 2025 NSW State Relay Championships, setting a NSW record of 46.96m 🎉💥

Representing Australia, Michel Hemmings Jones has won🥉in the M50 Discus World Masters Athletics Championships with a season best throw of 49.15m (1.5kg)🎉💪 Wow💥

Michel has been on🔥this season. He is the current M50 Oceania Masters Discus Champion 47.14m (1.5kg), M50 Australian Masters Discus 43.74m (1.5kg) & Shot Put 12.94m (6kg) Champion and M50 NSW Masters Champion 45.44m (1.5kg) 👏

Michel was also part of the🥇medal-winning Balmain quartet in the M 200+ Shot Put at the 2025 NSW State Relay Championships, setting a NSW record of 46.96m 🎉💥

2026 Australian XC Championships Ballarat VIC, 22 August.

Congratulations to Isla Struthers U12 3km, Harry Struthers U14 3km, Archie and Charlie Ackland U16 4km, Hazel Blackwood and Pippa Lloyd Shepherd U18 4km on their selection to represent Team NSW 🎉 Each athlete gave it their all, showing grit and determination as they tackled the gruelling muddy course, capping off their terrific winter season 👏The photos capture before and after racing! 💪😬
