Justin Rose Training in the Gym
Swing sequence drills seem to be a bit taboo for some GolfFit coaches, but I love to see it.
I think they have their place within a session.
They shouldn’t form the basis of the session but certainly can be added to fill in rest periods.
What do you think?

Part 3/3 of the Future Golf Mobility Series.
This is the foundation of a consistent golf swing.
Test 3: Upper & Lower Body Separation
Great ball strikers can rotate their upper body while keeping the lower body stable and vice versa.
This test shows whether you can actually dissociate the two or if your body is forced to compensate.
If it feels awkward, unstable, or you can’t control the movement, you haven’t failed, you’ve just found the missing link.
The drill that follows helps you build that separation and control back in.
Try the test.

Part 2 of the Future Golf Mobility Series.
This one’s huge for golfers.
Test 2: Thoracic Mobility
Your thoracic spine (upper back) is responsible for rotation in the golf swing.
If you lack mobility here, the body looks for it elsewhere, usually the lower back, hips, or shoulders, and that’s where problems start.
In this test, we’re assessing how well you can rotate through the upper body without compensating, hence we lock in the hips.
Try the test and then use the drill at the end to help unlock the t-spine.
Think you pass?

I was lucky enough to be invited to the Future Golf x adidas launch event down in Melbourne recently.
While we were there, we created a short mobility assessment series that involves simple tests every modern golfer should be able to pass and provided you with drills to help overcome the tightness.
Test 1: Hip Internal Rotation
If your hips can’t internally rotate, your body has to compensate from somewhere else, usually your lower back.
Think you can pass the test?

Been a tough week as a fan this week.
Just when there is a glimmer of hope as we start to build a roster under the guidance of Benji, the board goes and f***s it up.
Wests Tigers fans are some of the most hopeful and resilient fans out there.
We’ve been through a lot.
But this week has to be the worst of it.
So this has to be a call to arms for us to get to the march on Saturday.
It’s clear that there is no future with the HBG running the show moving forward.
They need to go!
The NRL needs to step in and do something.
I’ve spoken to a lot of Tigers fans this week and there is a huge sense of sadness, anger, disillusionment, and disappointment.
We’ve lost the best administrator we’ve had in years and no doubt we’re going to lose some of our top players.
Tigers fans, let me know your thoughts 👇🏽

Running a business is hard.
Co-parenting is harder.
Trying to launch an online business while doing both?
That’s next level.
Lately, I’ve been struggling to find the time to get things done.
I hold myself to high standards and can often be hard on myself if I’m not getting everything done.
There are some days where I’m so overwhelmed with my work, there’s so much, I don’t know where to start.
Kinda like walking into a messy bedroom and you’re like, f**k, where do I begin.
And there are days where I crush my to-do list.
Then there are days where just getting the kids fed, dressed, and loved feels like a win.
Some nights I stay up late working on the online business and talking to clients around the world.
Other nights, I fall asleep with the kids at 7pm because I just can’t keep my eyes open.
That’s the reality.
It’s a real balancing act trying to be present with the kids and not be thinking about work.
To be honest, I’ve always struggled to switch off from work, I’m always thinking:
‘How I can I be better?’
‘What can I do here?’
Or I’ll think of something, like a content idea, and whip out my phone and make a note of it.
As a dad, you want to be there for every moment, but you also want to give them the best opportunity for life ahead.
It’s a balancing act where I never feel like I am in balance.
And sometimes.
You feel like you’re doing everything, but nothing well.
That voice of self-doubt creeps in:
“Am I doing enough?”
“Am I on the right path?”
“Why did I raise my voice?”
But here’s what I’ve learned:
1. Showing up consistently, and with love, gratitude and patience is enough.
2. Respect what you do with your time, it’s limited.
3. It can always wait til tomorrow.
4. No one said it was easy.
Those things that you have to work hard for are often the most rewarding.
