The Djarrawunang is the word for magpie from the Sydney language. Djarrawunang and its friends Guganagina (Kookaburra), Garraway (Sulphur Crested Cockatoo), Warin (Rainbow Lorikeet) and Galah all live in nearby trees around the Inner West.
“As they fly about, their vibrant colours paint the sky. At Djarrawunang Playground, they have splashed their colours around the playground.
Did you notice the image of two Djarrawunang (Magpies) within the park? Can you find them both?
Hint: look around the water play area!”
