AUDITION – COMPANY DANCERS (PAID POSITIONS)
National Opera, Canberra’s opera company is looking for three female and three male dancers to work on the company’s upcoming production of Alcina. This is an exciting opportunity for anyone who is an aspiring professional / semi-professional contemporary dancer and lives in Canberra.
The choreography team features locals dance professionals and mentors Jodi Ann Hammond, Belinda Hassall and Christina Philipp.
Rehearsals plan to commence in the week commencing 24 October (evenings and weekend TBC)
Company rehearsals:
· Friday 2nd December 2:30pm to 5:30pm
· Saturday 3rd December 2:30pm to 5:30pm
· Tuesday 6th December – 11am – 2pm / 7pm – 10pm
Performances 7:30pm 8 and 10 December at ANU Llewellyn Hall.
These roles are paid against the Live Performance Award, with payment for rehearsals and performances.
To apply:
Submit a video recording of up to three minutes of you dancing (solo not group) in a contemporary or classical style. No pointe work required.
Age range 16 – 25 years.
