THATβS A WRAP ON THE 2026 RUGBY SEASON!
A remarkable day for St Augustineβs Rugby on Saturday, with Saints teams competing in 16 Grand Finals and coming away with 15 Premierships.
While some teams produced convincing victories, others left it until the very end. Our 4th XV scored the winning try after the final bell (see photo!), while the 3rd XV won the only game of the day to go to extra time.
The 1st XV Grand Final was a huge physical battle. Saints dominated for long periods, only for Oakhill to fight their way back with tries of their own. With both teams exhausted, the final whistle confirmed a fourth consecutive 1st XV Premiership for St Augustineβs.
A massive thank you to everyone who travelled to Campbelltown to support our teams, and to all our families for your support throughout the year.
To all the Mums and Dads, thank you for the countless hours driving to games and training, cooking BBQs, setting up fields, providing encouragement when things were tough and keeping the boys grounded when things were going well. We simply could not run our program without you.
To all our coaches, managers, gym staff and medicos (led by Ali Donnan), thank you for all the time, effort, planning and guidance you provide to all our teams. A big thank you to our Director of Rugby Geoff Webster for his leadership of the program.
And finally, to our players, thank you. Thank you for the training, preparation, commitment and effort that allowed you to put on such wonderful entertainment every Saturday. You have once again shown that schoolboy rugby can be competitive, fun and entertaining, while teaching us some of life's most important lessons: perseverance, resilience, attitude and discipline.
15 Premierships. Four straight 1st XV titles. One incredible season.
Thatβs a wrap on 2026 Rugby.

π Magic Round is Here! ππ
It's ISA Magic Round this weekend as all senior rugby teams head to Bathurst for the semi-finals, joining every ISA school for a spectacular carnival of schoolboy rugby in the crisp Central West.
With 22 St Augustine's teams playing sudden-death semi-finals, there is plenty on the line as our boyβs fight for a place in next week's Grand Finals.
Unfortunately, a small number of our teams have no opposition in their divisions, bringing their seasons to a close. We thank those players, coaches and families for their commitment throughout the year. Meanwhile, our 15E team will finish their seasons with a game at Joeys.
Many Saints families will be making the trip west as the green and gold takes over Bathurst for what promises to be one of the highlights of the rugby calendar.
Closer to home, our IPSHA Primary teams travel to Riverview for the final matches of their season. We wish them all the very best in what should be a terrific day of rugby.
Good luck to every Saints team this weekend. Play hard, play fair, and make us proud.
Go Saints! ππ

The Waratahs Come to Saints πππ
In a unique opportunity for our students, the NSW Waratahs visited St Augustine's on Tuesday as part of their preparations for the upcoming Super Rugby Australia season.
The day began with a lunchtime Q&A featuring Old Boy, Wallaby and Waratahs captain Matt Philip, who shared his journey from the classrooms and rugby fields of St Augustine's to the international stage. Matt spoke openly about overcoming setbacks, including injuries and not receiving his first professional contract until the age of 23. Students asked a wide range of questions, from his favourite boots, pre-game meal and walk-out song to whether he preferred playing against the All Blacks or the Springboks.
The Waratahs then completed a gym session in our College gym before heading to Brookvale Oval, where they trained alongside the St Augustine's 1st XV. The session included skills and handling drills, set-piece work and concluded with a highly competitive 15-on-15 opposed team run.
Experiences like this are invaluable for our players, providing an insight into the professionalism, standards and work ethic required to compete at the highest level of the game.
A huge thank you to the NSW Waratahs and especially Matt Philip for their generosity, time and willingness to invest in the next generation of Saints rugby players. It was a memorable afternoon and one that was greatly appreciated by everyone involved.
How good is this. These primary boys watched the combined training session between Saints 1stXV and the Waratahs. 20 minutes after training finished, Teddy Wilson who went to Saints in his early years, was still running around with our primary boys. A professional rugby player mixing it with boys just beginning, joined together by a love of just playing.
Well done Teddy

ONE LAST HOME GAME. πππ
Rugby enters its final regular-season round this Saturday as we welcome St Stanislaus' College, Bathurst to the Northern Beaches.
The day begins with fixtures at the Sydney Academy of Sport and Pittwater Rugby Park back fields, before attention turns to Brookvale Oval for the feature 2nd XV and 1st XV clashes.
This is our final home game of the season. Next weekend the competition heads to Magic Round in Bathurst, followed by the Grand Finals in Campbelltown. If you can't make those trips, this is your final opportunity to support our teams at home, and your last chance to see our Year 12 players proudly wear the green and gold on home soil.
Our 1st XV will be looking to continue their outstanding undefeated season, with kick-off at the traditional time of 3.15pm.
Come along and support a remarkable group of young men who continue to represent St Augustine's with humility, skill and pride.
Let's fill Brookvale Oval with a sea of gold and green.
Go Saints!
