Tassie round this weekend in the Tyrepower V8 SuperUte Series #64 Hilux Ute and we qualified 8th.

Race 1 we finished 7th, lucky number pull from the hat for reverse grid in Race 2 and we started front row on poll.

We held position through two safety cars and we did it right to the end, after a 4 year hiatus, we proved where we have been working hard to get back to, we finished in P1 - Yeehaw 💪🏼🤠

Race 3 out of P5 and we’ve finished provisional 7th. Bring on Race 4 this afternoon at 1:05pm, watch us on Kayo Sports or FOX Motorsport

We are so glad that team mate Justin has been cleared and able to jump in the seat again for today

Justin Ruggier isn’t just our team mate but he’s a good mate, to see him end his race like this is gut wrenching. No one wants this for anyone in the field but for it to happen to the nicest guy in the field too is just worse.

Hoping for you, a quick in and out of hospital and back at the track for tomorrow. The team will have your Ute back on all fours and ready to rock and roll for tomorrow.

Watching from home with our kids knowing Christine is at home watching with your kids too, from a wife we just sit and wait, we don’t just band together during the highs but also the heart stoppers.

We are thinking of you and the whole family at home and race family at the track.

STATEMENT

Following an incident during Race 2 at Symmons Plains Raceway, Western Sydney Motorsport’s Justin Ruggier was attended to immediately by medical personnel on track after his vehicle was involved in a rollover.

Justin was alert, communicating and responding well to medical staff at the scene, although understandably sore. As a precaution, he has been transported to hospital for further checks and scans and is with team personnel.

WSM crew have already commenced work on repairing the #88 Thrifty Toyota Hilux ahead of tomorrow’s two races. They also would like to thank the officials, medical crew and recovery staff for their swift response and support.

Further updates will be made when available.

Been a shocker of the weekend so far with residual gremlins from Adelaide last year the team have@ been doing some hard yards to try and get her so that we can take her back on track and actually do some great laps across for the next session due out at 1520 New South Wales time then we’ll give it another crack tomorrow for our final race for
