We love seeing our players supporting one another, giving their best effort and representing Henry Lawson Football Club with pride. No matter the result, every player should be incredibly proud of themselves.

🩵🖤🤍 Gala Day Highlights – Part 1! ⚽📸

Our U8 and U9 superstars were also in action yesterday, and what a fantastic day it was!

There were plenty of smiles, goals, great saves, teamwork and, most importantly, lots of fun. Watching our youngest players continue to grow in confidence and develop their skills each week is something we love to see.

A huge thank you to all of our coaches, managers, volunteers and families who gave up their Saturday to support the teams. Your encouragement from the sidelines means the world to our players and helps make days like these so special.

🩷🩵🖤🤍 Get ready for a few posts from yesterday… we’re kicking things off with our amazing girls! 🤍🖤🩵🩷

Yesterday marked a very special day for our future all-girls team. 💕

This season we have three U12 mixed teams, and while it’s bittersweet knowing this is their final year playing in mixed competition together, it’s incredibly exciting to look ahead. Next season these girls will come together as our U13 Girls team! 🩷⚽

The gala day gave them the perfect opportunity to take the field as one team for the very first time.

For the past month, the girls have been training together while continuing to train with their own teams, building friendships, confidence and learning how to play alongside one another. 🌸

With Rob stepping into the Coach role and Ash as Manager, this team is in fantastic hands. The passion, encouragement and belief they have already shown in these girls has been incredible, and we honestly couldn’t be prouder of every single one of them. 🩷

Yesterday’s results were something to celebrate:
💗⚽ Game 1: A fantastic 4–0 win
🩷⚽ Game 2: A hard-fought 2–0 loss

While the scores were great, what impressed us most was the teamwork, sportsmanship, determination and smiles on every face. This group showed exactly what can happen when they work together. 💕

A message from Manager Ash:

“A huge congratulations to all of our girls on an incredible first day as a team! Every single player gave 100%, showed great determination, and represented the team with pride.

To come away with a fantastic 4–0 win in our very first game together was an amazing achievement. Although we went down 2–0 in the second game, the effort, teamwork, and positive attitude never stopped. It was a brilliant start for a brand-new team, and there’s so much to be proud of.

A special thank you to Coach Rob for all your hard work, encouragement, and support in bringing this team together.

Today showed just how much potential this group has. If the girls all return next season, the future of our all-girls team looks incredibly promising. Well done, girls—we can’t wait to see what you’ll achieve together next year! 🖤🩵🤍🤞🏼”

A message from Coach Rob:

“From the first training session we could see a lot of potential for this girls team once we got them onto the field together. Moving from the mixed teams this year to the all girls next year, their confidence will continue to grow.

Thanks again for the effort the committee has put into making this team happen for this event, with multiple committee members coming out to watch and support today. Thanks to Ash for all the effort organising everything and supporting the girls. We also appreciate the extra commitment from all the families over the past month, but yesterday showed it was absolutely worth it.

The girls came together for their first outing as a team and used everything they’ve been working on at training to produce a fantastic team performance.

We spoke at our first training session about trying different positions, and yesterday everyone embraced the challenge. From first-time goalkeepers, to strong defensive efforts, creating space with some fantastic passing, and finishing off opportunities with great goals, every player contributed.

Great work, team.”

Yesterday wasn’t just about wins and losses. It was about creating something special, building confidence, making memories, and taking the first steps towards what promises to be an exciting future for our HLFC girls. 💗

🩷 NFA Volunteer of the Month – Congratutions to Nicole Stokes 🩷

There are some people who quietly give so much of themselves to make our club a better place, and Nicole Stokes is one of those special people.

From setting up and packing away, running the canteen on weekends and weeknights, liaising with sponsors and suppliers, and leading the organisation of our Club Pink Round, Nicole is always there when she's needed. No job is ever too big or too small, and she gives her time so generously for the benefit of everyone at our club.

What makes her contribution even more remarkable is that she does all of this while raising her family, getting Lachlan and Xavier to their games each week, and continuing her own medical treatments. Her strength, kindness and unwavering dedication are truly inspiring.

Nicole, your hard work, selflessness and love for our club never go unnoticed. We are incredibly grateful for everything you do and are so proud to recognise you as this month's NFA Volunteer of the Month.
