To welcome an artist and Guru of her stature is truly a dream come true. I still cannot quite believe that this is happening. ❤️

Today, I am incredibly proud to share one of the most significant milestones in Kalankan Dance Academy Sydney’s journey.

It is with immense joy and gratitude that Kalankan Dance Academy Sydney has officially been granted affiliation with Sarbabharatiya Sangeet-O-Sanskriti Parishad, Kolkata (India).

This affiliation marks the beginning of a new chapter for our academy. From now on, our students in Sydney will have the opportunity to undertake structured examinations and earn nationally recognised certification in Indian dance under the name of Kalankan Dance Academy Sydney. Every year, they will be able to progress through graded examinations, receive formal qualifications, and continue their artistic journey with recognised credentials.

As someone who has dedicated my life to Indian classical dance and its education, this achievement is deeply personal. My vision has always been not only to teach dance but to provide my students with authentic, structured, and meaningful training that connects them to our rich cultural heritage while living far from home.

This affiliation is not just an honour for me—it is a commitment to every student and family who has trusted Kalankan Dance Academy over the years. Thank you for believing in this dream and walking this journey with me.

This is only the beginning. Here’s to many more milestones, many successful examinations, and generations of dancers carrying our tradition forward with pride.
