Spearfisherman struck by propeller - Northern Beaches Advocate A man has been taken to hospital after being hit by the propeller of a boat near Clontarf.

Safety first..

All brands, all age of ski, all level of riders.. personally my biggest tip is never ride solo.. but hey that's me! Loose wire, clamp, fuse, battery, fuel, rogue wave absolutely anything can happen! But if you do it's important to carry the just in case safety gear even if not required by law.. Most of us have a phone but its not always enough.. I have a satellite communicator attached to my lifejacket or you can have a PLB.. Other useful items flares, torch, whistle, sheet, rope, expendable paddle.. You do you, but after seeing the post by our local Marine rescue of a rider getting caught out to see 5nm in the dark I thought I'd share this. Shout out to all Marine rescue crews!

Hi! I've been watching this all unfold today on fb..
A young rider need rescuing off Terrigal by Marine rescue..
The comments have been harsh towards the rider
and yet a month earlier the same crew had to rescue a boat, not one comment about sea worthy etc..
Just the usual discrimination faced by PWC riders because of the actions of a few!

This is why our behaviour on the water matters.
