We have a good number of these targets in the shed and starting this Saturday we will commence shooting on this target periodically, but not in three field positions at 25yards. Rather it will be a precision prone match shot over a rest at 50 metres only. Bipods are permitted in prone and those who cannot shoot in prone can adopt the sitting supported position using a solid tripod.

At this stage there are four classes envisaged:
1. Precision Optical - for highly accurate scoped rimfire rifles with unlimited magnification riflescopes.
2. Sporter Optical - for the average sporting/hunting rimfire eg a Brno/CZ sporter with up to 12 power scope.
3. Iron-sighted target rifle eg Anschutz heavy-barrelled rifles with fine aperture sights with tunnel foresights.
4. Standard Iron sighted rifles eg Lithgow models 1-5(?), iron-sighted Brno Model 2s etc (this is the "catch-all” class. Iron-sighted training rifles eg Enfield No 2 Mk 4s and their international equivalents are included here.

The above classifications are not set in stone and I am open to tinkering around the edges and perhaps establishing an on-range coordination group who keep their ear to the ground so we can democratically manage the fairness-skill reward balance through the classifications, handicapping(?) to give everyone a chance at accolades/placings and satisfaction in shooting

4 triple snaps on SR95

300m Telescopic sight match on kings birthday long weekend.

Only 3 weeks left for those needing to get attendances in for the shooting year.
