Is it with sadness we note the passing of our long term Ice Picks member Richard “little dick” Hatherly.
A staunch South’s Sydney NRL supporter who loved the “Glory Glory”.
Dedicated member and worker of the Ice Picks who was tireless in his efforts in maintaining the swimming club and the ropes.
He was a 100% swimmer for a number of years and also a Life Member of the DYRSL summer swimming club.
He will be sadly missed and condolences to his family.
His Service will be held Tuesday 30th April at Macquarie Park at 10.30am.
RIP little dick.

What a great weekend for the 2023 Australian Winter Championships! 21 teams attended Warringah Aquatic Centre on Sunday 17th September, the largest carnival ever! Thank you to the Australian Winter Swimming Association for allowing us to host the carnival this year. These championships would not have been possible without the incredible support of our sponsors Dee Why RSL, Northern Beaches Council, Smart Boating & Goodradigbee Distillery. We would also like to thank WASA volunteers Lois Clarke and Toby Williams for taking charge of the timekeeping/recording duties, you both did an amazing job! Lastly to our wonderful supportive Ice Pick team members, you guys rock! Without your tireless efforts this weekend, our carnival wouldn’t have run as smoothly as it did led by event organiser Jon Thompson. Next year Orange have the duties to host the 2024 Championships, we wish them well, the Ice Picks are raring to go! Written by Charmaine Welsh

What a great day at GOOD RA DIG BEE distillers, they opened their doors for free tasting day to sample their products ( very good if I do say so myself ) this was an event all the competitors competing tomorrow at the Australian Winter Swimming Championships could attend (being hosted by Dee Why RSL Ice Picks)
