Our undefeated Division 4 secured the winter competition minor premiership with a round to go 🏆
🏏 Setting an imposing 7/283 (Jack Wormald 58*, Ben Gussey 50*, Chris Walker 37, Cameron Reed 33, James Husband 30) off 36 overs, the team was never troubled dismissing Pacific City 158 (Fasahath Mohamed 3/30, Matthew Koen 2/22, James Husband 2/26).
Div 1 (3rd), Div 15 (5th) and Div 18 (4th) all remain in the hunt for finals spots.

Long gone are the ‘scrap a few teams together’ dynamics of winter comp. ❄️
😳 This year the SMCA expanded to an enormous 26 divisions with 164 teams.
🤝 We have been part of the competition for over 20 years and are proud to be entering our equal largest contingent in 2026 with four teams across the divisions.

We were honoured to have Matt Cross MP - Member for Davidson attend our 2026 Awards Night. 🏆
🤝 Matt presented club President Gavin Wingfield with a novelty cheque following the successful grant application for player retention & development, and attracting new members.
🚧 With the current construction of our home nets at Hassall Park, the funds will be vital to cover alternative training venues and developing our junior player pathways.
🏏 Matt also regaled the audience with tales of his exploits in the Pollies v Press games. A duck and a retired is the kind of consistency we welcome at Saints… there’s a playing spot available to you anytime, Matt!

At our 2026 Awards Night we launched our new digital honour boards, recognising the many contributions that have made our club what it is today. They will run in the clubhouse throughout the summer season. 🏏
🏆 Our first lot includes Office Bearers, Life Members and club leading run scorers & wicket takers.
🙏 Our deep appreciation to Andy Bayles and Martin Grosvenor for compiling and maintaining the club’s history. And to Ben Gussey who has maintained the club records since 2006 and created the digital honour boards.
