Neglected Musicals is excited to announce the cast of CAROUSEL, which will play Foundry Theatre Sydney from Thursday 15 October.

Staring as the young and naive Julie Jordan is ERIN CLARE (Beetlejuice, The Witches of Eastwick), DREW WESTON as Billy Bigelow (Titanique, The Pajama Game), DEIRDRE KHOO as Carrie Pipperidge (SIX, The Rocky Horror Show) and JOEL GRANGER as Enock Snow (Phar Lap, Guys & Dolls).

Joining them are CAITLIN BERRY as Nettie Fowler (She Loves Me, Aspects Of Love), EMILY CASCARINO as Ms Mullins (Little Women, Playing Our Song), JORDAN ANGELIDES as Jigger (Pretty Woman, Sister Act) and CHLOË MARSHALL as Louise (LoveMusik, The Pajama Game) with SAM AUSTIN, DARCY MARTIN, JULIAN SEGUNA, ROSE SHANNON-DUHIGG, MAX WALBURN and PALOMA RENOUF.

This 1945 musical the second from the creators of Oklahoma follows carousel barker Billy Bigelow, a swaggering, carefree carnival barker, falls in love with and marries the sweet but naive Julie Jordan. A stunning tale of hope, redemption and the power of love.

The original Broadway Production opened on 19 April 1945 and features the musical theatre classics If I Loved You , June Is Busting Out All over and You’ll Never Walk Alone The 1956 Movie version stared Gordan MacRea and Shirley Jones.

The cast of the Neglected Musicals presentation of THE RINK which will play Hayes Theatre Co from September 30.

HELEN DALLIMORE (Glinda - West End, Little Eddie - Grey Gardens) will play Anna the role made famous by Chita Rivera.
SHANNEN ALYCE QUAN (Fan Girls, Witches of Eastwick) will play Angel, Anna’s absent daughter in a role originally played on Broadway by Liza Minnelli.

Joining them is LOUIS LUCENTE (Jersey Boys, Muriel’s Wedding) as Dino. JOEL GRANGER (Phar Lap, Guys & Dolls) as Tony, P. TUCKER WORLEY (The Pajama Game, West Side Story) as Lucky, JORDAN SHEA (Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Witches of Eastwick)as Lenny, DREW LIVINGSTON (My Brilliant Career, Witches of Eastwick) as Ben and ARIYAN SHARMA (Dear Evan Hanson) as Buddy.

This Kander & Ebb classic musical is set in a Coney Island of the mind, on the ragged fringe of the New York show-biz world. Anna Antonelli's roller rink is about to be demolished, and with it Anna's memories of her Lothario of a husband and her painfully shy daughter Angel. The rink becomes an arena in which mother and daughter examine their past, present and future.

Featuring the Broadway hits Coloured Lights, The Apple Doesn’t Fall and Wallflower.

The Rink was first presented on Broadway in February 1984 staring Liza Minnelli and Chita Rivera.
