Eunice Leahy Memorial Day.
More than 50 friends and family gathered at Toongabbie Sports Club to celebrate the life of Eunice Leahy.
Eunice was a much-loved member of the Toongabbie Women's Bowling Club.
She was a long-standing member with an impressive bowling history. Eunice served on the TWBC committee in various roles, including as President from 2022 to 2025.
A gracious lady, Eunice will be sadly missed.

Toongabbie ladies BC took part in the Single Gender Pennants Competition on 14 July, playing two bowl triples against Greenlees Park and Pennant Hills BCs.

Our Toonie 'A' team narrowly lost to Pennant Hills 41-38, while Toonie 'B' team had a victory 42-30 over Greenlees Park. Both matches were closely contested.
Clear blue skies set the scene for a perfect day of spirited yet friendly competition.
Congratulations to the winners and everyone who participated.

The Toongabbie Women's Bowling Club Minor Singles Final between Heather Lark and Joan Dixon took place on 9th June 2026.
This highly anticipated match up, showcased not only their exceptional skill and ex*****on but also their remarkable physical and mental endurance. The competition was intense, with closely matched scoring to the very end.
Ultimately, after 30 exhausting ends, Joan Dixon edged ahead by three points to claim victory. The final score was 26 to 23 in Joan's favour. Congratulations to both competitors for their tremendous effort and spirited contest.

A total of 17 clubs from across Sydney came together at Merrylands Bowling Club for the Metro North West Vet and Super Vet day, where they participated in a friendly game of bowls. Toongabbie Bowling Club's team comprised 16 ladies and 11 men who took part in the event. Players who played on the artificial lawn found the surface particularly challenging. After completing their games, the group gathered for lunch and lively discussions.

Several retired golfers from Fox Hills Golf club have found a new way to reconnect and keep their camaraderie alive by reuniting through bowls at today's Metro North West - Vet and Super Vet Day held at Merrylands BC.
