Yuan-Chi Tai Chi Chuan is the Dance of the Way; the Tao. Tai Chi Chuan is a form of internal martial art originally founded by Zhang San-Feng.
Tai Chi Chuan can be viewed as a martial art or as a meditative practice but to approach it in this manner is to deny the nature of Tao. Lao Tzu wrote in the Tao Te Ching “In the beginning was the Tao. All things issue from it; all things return to it. (Chapter 52, Stephen Mitchell translation)” Tai Chi Chuan is Tao in Motion, and so it must be all things to all people, it is meditation, exercise,
moving philosophy, art, and Kung Fu, but by the nature of Tao can never remain true, and be just one of these things. Tai Chi Chuan is a pathway to improved mental and physical health and a more balanced spiritual being. It provides benefits to young and old, male and female, spiritual and atheist alike; it is the nature of Dao to embrace everything as it is and as a part of the Oneness. So whether you are young or old, male or female, spiritual or atheist you will find that Tai Chi Chuan will have something to offer. Yuan-Chi Tai Chi Chuan is an evolution of the Yang family style which has been influenced by the founder’s (Master Ric Lum) past martial arts experience, and his many years of Sahaja Yoga meditation. Because of the influences which have coalesced in this style there is the potential for ‘chi’ flow to awaken spontaneously in the student. This differs from other forms of Tai Chi Chuan, which require many years of practice to experience chi flow. To learn more about Yuan-Chi Tai Chi Chuan please click here.
