🎂4️⃣4️⃣✨️

This birthday feels a little different.

I’m not wishing for more. I’m looking around at what I already have.

My family. My boys. My husband. My dad. Beautiful friendships. Work I love. A book with my name on it. A body that lets me move. Coffee that makes me ridiculously happy 😂☕ and another year of ordinary moments that I now know are anything but ordinary.

Life hasn’t always gone according to plan, but amongst all the twists, turns and shatters, it has given me so much to be grateful for.

And maybe that’s what 44 feels like for me.

Less about what’s next… and more about really appreciating what’s right here. 🙏

More memories. More adventures. More laughter.

Happy birthday to me. 🥂✨

Here’s to 44 and whatever adventures come next. ❤️

No fancy gym. No egos. No judgement.

Just real women, real training, plenty of laughs… and the occasional look in my direction that says, “Andrea, are you serious?” 😂

This little garage has become so much more than a place to exercise.

Women of different ages, different fitness levels and different goals — all showing up and doing their thing.

And THAT is exactly how I like it. ❤️💪

My kind of gym. My kind of women.

Today was meant to be an exciting day. I had a podcast interview scheduled for 12 and was looking forward to it.

But my day had other plans.

I woke up bright and early, took Reon to school, came home and started my sessions.

Then mid-session, I heard screaming from inside the house.

I ran inside in a panic and found my son lying on the floor, motionless.

He'd been unwell for a few days, but before I could get him to the doctor, he'd spiked a fever, collapsed and started convulsing.

I quickly turned him onto his side while we called 000.

Within 10 minutes the paramedics arrived and thankfully, my son came to. He was rushed to hospital.

Then, because apparently the whirlwind wasn't over, I received a call from my other son's school. He was sick too and needed to be picked up.

Both my boys were unwell and I was just trying to keep it together.

I think that's one of the scariest parts of being a parent — watching your children sick and feeling completely helpless.

Thankfully, my eldest is okay. Influenza B, severe dehydration and low blood pressure, along with the spiking fever, caused the convulsions. Thank the Lord it wasn't anything more sinister and he's now home resting.

My little one is home too, fighting a virus that's hit his throat.

And tonight I sit on my couch thinking…

F**K. What a day.

I'm exhausted. My head feels like it's about to explode. I just want to go to bed… but honestly, I'm scared to.

So tonight, I pray.

I pray for my boys' health and for God to watch over them.

It would have been easy today to curse God and ask why? But I didn't.

Because He was with my boys every step of the way. He protected them and made sure they were both safe.

Tonight, they're home with me.

And after one of the scariest days I've had as a mum, that's all that matters.

My heart is tired, but incredibly grateful.

Thank You, God, for looking after my boys. 🙏❤️

Thank you so much for this beautiful review. 🤍

Reading words like these makes every word I wrote, every memory I revisited, and every piece of my story I chose to share feel so worth it.

To know Through the Shatter, She Became stayed with you beyond the final page means more than I can say.

This is exactly why I shared my story. ✨
Thank you from the bottom of my heart. 🙏

How often do we say things like…

➡️I can’t.
➡️I’m not good enough.
➡️I always procrastinate.
➡️I’m not confident.
➡️I’ll never be able to do that.

We say them so easily, we almost don’t notice anymore.

But what if they’re not facts?

What if they’re beliefs we’ve picked up along the way and repeated so often that we’ve started believing they’re simply who we are?

And here’s the interesting part…

What if we could change those beliefs?

Sometimes it starts by simply noticing them. Questioning the things we’ve been telling ourselves for years instead of automatically believing them.

Because once we recognise what’s really sitting underneath… we can start creating a different story. ✨
