The countdown to another big season starts now! Join us at Georges River District Cricket Club for preseason training as we prepare for a huge summer.

Whether you’re a returning player or looking for a new club, we’d love to see you there. With 5 grades, an Under 24s team, and 3 seniors teams there’s a place for everyone.

The Georges River District Cricket Club Annual General Meeting will be held on 22/07/2026 at 7pm at Oatley RSL.

We warmly invite all players, families, supporters, life members, sponsors, and friends of the club to attend. The AGM is a great opportunity to reflect on the past season, discuss plans for the future, and have your say in the continued growth and success of our club.

VALE PETER WESTWOOD (13/07/1930 - 10/05/2026)

Life member and first grade cap #144 Peter Westwood has sadly passed away peacefully on 10th May 2026. Peter was a great player and servant of our club and will be sorely missed by all. His achievements at the club were extensive:

* Player from 1949/1950 to 1969/1970
* Elected Life Member in season 1976/1977
* Elected Vice President in season 1986/1987
* Secretary from season 1960/1961 to 1985/1986 – 25 years of service
* Our Under 21 Player of the Year award is named after Peter – the Peter Westwood Shield, being in place since 1984/1985
* Peter remains our club’s 12th highest run scorer with 5500 runs
* Peter, alongside Kingsley Osborne held the First Grade opening partnership record of 170 from 1964/1965 to 2023/24. This record remained unbroken for 59 years!

Peter’s service details are:
Thursday the 21st of May at 10am at Olsens Sutherland, followed by burial at Woronora at 11.00am, with a wake to follow at Club on East.

May he rest in peace.
