It's always a pleasure to meet new faces and reconnect with old friends when we're out in the community.

Our Community Finance team and Bushtucker Nursery team recently attended the Yarn in the Farm NAIDOC Week 2026 event, sharing information about our programs, engaging with community, and celebrating culture together.

It was an honour to welcome Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC - Governor of NSW, Councillor Brad Bunting - Mayor of Blacktown and Kerry Robinson OAM - CEO of Blacktown Council to Muru Mittigar's Cultural Centre today.
The visit began with a Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremony, creating an opportunity to share Culture, connection and respect. We were proud to showcase the work we do across Community, Country, Culture and Employment - sharing stories of success, impact and resilience, while also discussing the important work that still lies ahead.
We extend our sincere thanks to all who attended today for their time, reflections and commitment to strengthening outcomes for Aboriginal communities.

A staff shoutout to Aishwarya Vinod Gujarath and Alyssia Zagarella from our Conservation Team! These before and after photos are an example of the amazing work they can do with managing invasive species (in this case Lantana Camara) to support natural regeneration. These photos were taken at one of our M7 sites in July. Great work!

These young participants embraced the opportunity to connect with Aboriginal Culture through crafting activities at one of our recent NAIDOC events. Moments like these help foster understanding, creativity, and a deeper appreciation of the world's oldest living Culture.
