👟 Most of these shoes (belonging to Mrs Bare Creek) are retired. But none of them are getting thrown out.

Because every pair has earned its place.

Every scuff, every stain and every worn-out sole has a race, an adventure or a memory attached to it.

Do you still have a pair of running shoes you can't bring yourself to throw away?

What's their story?

Not all trail runs are created equal.

One of the things that makes Bare Creek special is the variety packed into every course.

🌿 Flowing bush tracks

🪨 Sandstone outcrops

🌳 Towering gum forests

⬆️ Climbs that make you work for the finish

Whether you're tackling the 2km Dash or taking on the full 20km challenge, you'll experience some of the best trail running terrain Sydney has to offer.

Which section of the course are you most looking forward to?

😄 Every Bare Creek runner is a little bit different.

🎭 The Character
Trail running is serious. Their outfit isn't. Everybody notices them. Everybody remembers them.

🔥The Racer
Knows their target pace. Checks their watch every 500m. Claims they're "just taking it easy today" and then wins their age group.

💦 The Creek Crosser
Secretly entered just for the creek crossing. Wet shoes are a badge of honour.

☕ The Social Runner
Signs up with friends. Knows half the field. Measures success by coffees consumed before and after.

At Bare Creek, there's room for all of them.

So... which one are you?

Drop your answer below ⬇️

Or tag the friend who fits one of these perfectly.

6KM SPOTLIGHT
The 6km is the perfect all-rounder at Bare Creek. If you're new to trail running, it’s welcoming, scenic, and achievable—with just enough challenge to make it feel rewarding. You’ll enjoy the gentle start along Cascades Trail, the iconic creek crossing, and that final climb that leaves you buzzing at the finish.

And if you’re a fast junior runner, this is where you can really push the pace on the flatter sections.

Whether you’re here for fun or to test your speed, the 6km is your gateway to the Bare Creek experience. Ready to give it a go?

😊 Bare Creek isn't just about the trails.

It's the families, the run crews, the familiar faces, the creek crossings, the finish-line smiles, and the feeling of being part of something people come back to year after year.

For plenty of Creekers, it's become an annual tradition.

💦Wet feet. No regrets.

If you've run Bare Creek before, you'll know exactly what we're talking about.

If you haven't, consider this your warning: there's a good chance you'll finish with wet shoes, muddy legs and a big grin on your face.

The Bare Creek Trail Run isn't about perfectly groomed paths and pristine white shoes. It's about getting out on the trails, crossing creeks, tackling a few hills and enjoying a great morning with hundreds of like-minded runners.

It's all part of what makes Bare Creek Sydney's Friendliest Trail Run.
