The last half of the Seiwakai training in Omagari ๐Ÿฅ‹๐Ÿฅต
It was hot, the kind of heat you never really get used to, but we powered through and made the most of every session.
The annual trip is about so much more than just the hours spent training. The travel, the effort, the late nights and catching up with friends you may not have seen for years all become part of the experience. Coming together each year from different parts of the world, with karate bringing us all together, is what makes it so special.
Fujiwara Hanshi is always so happy to welcome everyone. His humility and genuine warmth towards everyone is something I greatly admire.

From Okinawa to Omagari ๐Ÿš„๐Ÿฅ‹๐Ÿ‡ฏ๐Ÿ‡ต
The travel is done, and now three days of training are complete!
The seminar has been set up a little differently this year, with all the senior instructors taking part and sharing their skills, teaching abilities and ideas on kata and kumite techniques. It has been fantastic to learn from so many wonderful instructors and role models, each bringing their own experience, knowledge and perspective to the group.
Three days down, plenty of learning, and grateful for every opportunity to keep growing. ๐Ÿฅ‹

๐Ÿฅ‹ GRADING NIGHT DONE! ๐Ÿฅ‹
What a night! Huge congratulations to everyone who graded tonight. You worked hard, pushed through the nerves, the sweat, the shaky legsโ€ฆ and apparently breathing was optional tonight. ๐Ÿ˜‚
Grading is about so much more than passing a belt.
Every belt you earn represents time, effort, discipline, failures, little victories and lessons learned along the way. And when you eventually reach Black Belt, thatโ€™s not the end of the journey.
Itโ€™s actually the beginning.
A black belt doesn't mean you have mastered karate. It means you've developed enough understanding to realise just how much more there is to learn.
There is so much beyond the basics. More depth. More understanding. More control. More humility. More questions. And, of course, more push-ups. ๐Ÿ˜
So tonight, be proud of what you achieved. Celebrate your progress. Then ask yourself:
Whatโ€™s next?
Will you make it to Black Belt?
What does Black Belt mean to you?
And once you get thereโ€ฆ will you keep going?
The journey is long. The path isn't always easy.
But that's where the good stuff happens. ๐Ÿฅ‹
Congratulations everyone๐Ÿ‘Š
